From what I understand after the worst year and so much money lost they changed the compound of the steel to help corrosion. As the early adopters and I believe creators of the “lean” process (similar to six sigma) it seems logical they would but who knows. Living in Colorado we don’t seem to have a lot of rust buckets around.

Well glad you are up on such matters. Guess I will hope for the best. Any bets whether my white paint will fall off first, or my chassis will disintegrate first!! Anybody want to buy a dependable long lasting Toyota pickup? Can last 200,000 miles if you change the oil and do it all within 2-3 years!! D723504C-F058-4654-8600-C9A38AC45733.jpg

Well, I'm now the happy owner of a 2017 Pro in Super White. After working out what used Pros were going for in the area, and what I should be seeing on the OR, they met the numbers I decided were fair. I went in there with a window I knew I needed to be in for the whole thing to make sense and actually ended up closer to the lower end of it. I don't feel like I got completely screwed on either side of the deal but I'm sure they made some money off the deal too since it's not a charity. I know we'll always get screwed, I just wanted to minimize the impact as much as possible by knowing the numbers. I'm good with it. Eventually, I'll pick up a second "fun" car to rip around in and I love this truck for exactly what it is. Thanks for all the feedback guys!
