I have Method 0 offset wheels, 285/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, Camburg UCA, with 4 degrees of caster. No rubbing on/offroad including in reverse turning going over a bump. The offset and alignment (achieved with aftermarket UCA) are the key to not needing a chop.

Tires are not exactly the same size even when listed with the same dimensions so there is a change different tires will rub.

Yep, got another member in Bama running 285s on 0 offset wheels and he didn't have to do the CMC. 0 offset and less than 4.5" backspacking should clear.
