Thanks! Glad to have a tire back on the back! Could have had it on sooner but discount tire wouldn’t mount that tire to my wheel bc it is 7” wide. So after we went around the ring about how stupid that was, they refunded my money for installation and I took it today on my lunch break to another tire shop.

Something I just thought of...maybe we should carry a wheel spacer along with our spares because if you had to put spare on front with factory spare with a 34 or 35, it would definitely rub something, if you had a front go flat you would have to move rear wheel up front and put spare on rear to be drivable I feel like.

@IvanhoeTaco got something else for you to consider. Fab’d up a hi-lift Mount to go on the back tire. CABAB07D-BED4-4AF5-BF1E-E2FAC7879783.jpg

Correct. They were supplied by coastal offroad with the bumper kit. You can weld them anywhere you want and the only place was behind the tire so I put them there.

The power loss is fine with me, I came from 285’s with 17’ fj steeleies which are heavy. So the tire/wheel combo I have now weighs the same as the previous tire/wheel. Only thing that worries me is the trans temps. I haven’t seen anything over 215 on the hottest days. That is on hilly backroads. Interstate is fine. I want to do 4.56 eventually. But there’s plenty of people who don’t regear and are fine.

@IvanhoeTaco so I used to have a snorkel but I sold it about 9 months ago. Ended up buying it Back Yesterday because they never installed it. Put it back on this morning.

Looks tight! I still get the poeple who ask me about it and say "what does that mean?"
Of course I tell them "I frequently take it in water over the cab"

Yeah that was one reason I took it off. I got tired of people asking stupid questions all the time. Buuuut I missed it. I’ve always liked them. My wife doesn’t like it though. And she says my softopper looks like a grandpa.

I built my truck the way I wanted it and I love the look of safari trucks. Yes its obnoxious and I will never drive in water over my tires but if it's on my truck it's at least functional. I think it looks great and I have never seen a jeep or a Toyota with a snorkel and thought "gay".
