I just bought a 2006 PreRunner SR5 Dual Cab Long Bed with 148K miles for a good price. I got all the maintenance records and it has been well maintained, but kept outside. The interior needed a deep cleaning, and it came out surprisingly well. The clear coat is peeling on the roof, left front fender along the hood cut line, and under the window sills. And of course the paint on the fender flairs is deteriorated. It was backed into a pole, which only damaged the bumper, so I've a new chrome rear bumper to install. It has steel wheels, which need repainting as well. I plan to add a new head unit with Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM and a back up camera, a set of heavy duty floor mats, a new rear view mirror to fix the standard one that flops around, and then start on the paint. This is my first truck--I've always been a sports car and sports sedan guy, but I'm selling my sports sedan and going with the Tacoma. My son has a 2012 TRD Off Road, and loves it, but I think he's tired of doing Home Depot runs with me. I've already tapped this forum for information, and it's been very helpful. I have an old British sports car and we have similar forums to share our knowledge.
