You need to check out those keys deer on Big Pine Key.

They are so tame from people feeding them.

The bastards will actually eat meat?!

Ha I just attempted to make them but in a cast iron pan cuz no griddle. Came out decent. Didn’t have them thin enough, and I need a better spatula to flatten them

Don't you heat the press then use it to cook the top side while bottom is cooking?

That may be another way of doing it too. I’m sure everyone has their own method. If you got em nice and thin it’s only like 4-5 mins a burger. If you got a big griddle too you could knock out a bunch for sure. I did ball of meat, press is down, cook about 2 mins, flip and press a bit, slather some cheese on and cook for couple mins more. Perfect medium rare

Smash burgers are awesome! Cast iron skillet works for them too.

No, but warm it up so the burger doesn't stick to it. Same with a spatula.

Tolds ya it was gonna be a great day. got a lot of stuff done this morning, then a friend came by and we turned money into noise and holes at my chootin' range. Light wind, 70f, perfect. We had a shot or 3 after to celebrate.

That’s what I do . Roll into a ball. Bottom is machined out so meat doesn’t squish out b/c your pressing flat
