Changed out front diff and transfer case fluid today, fixed 4x4 & 4lo blinking on my dash after having a shop misdiagnose it for $200 (Don't recommend AAMCO Transmission).

Did you have any squeak before you swapped?

Didn't notice any squeak but the bad bushing didn't help with the taco lean either lol

Lol could be the lining worn out on the inner sleeve causing the squeak? Definitely worth a try for only $30

That is the exact tire I'm considering for my next set but not sure I want to go to an E load rating. How do they ride? I had E rated tires on my T-100 and it made it ride a little rougher but they were a 265/75.

Pulled my winch line and gave it a good soaking clean. Let it dry and re spooled. Needed something to do while my dad was napping. Down in Nevada caring for him after some back surgery last Thursday. Used his truck also lol.

Not today, but pulled and greased all of my bed bolts. I guess I was lucky, they all looked great.
    U-Bolt Flip.jpg
Installed the u-bolt flip kit. This is before I installed the bump stops. A week later, I took the spacers out.
    PowerStop Rotors and Pads.jpg
New PowerStop rotors and pads. Original rotors were in great shape at 102,000 miles, but I wanted to give these a try. I bled all four corners just to get some fresher fluid into the pistons and wheel cylinders, but everything looked good. I'm pretty happy with them so far.
    Then......
    Tessa's New Tacoma.jpg
Yesterday, I flew from Louisville, KY, to Austin, TX to pick up a new 3rd gen for my middle daughter. She's in the Air Force and has been stationed at Kadena air base in Okinawa for over a year now. She's being transferred to Minot ND in a couple of weeks and needs some wheels. She wanted a new Taco, blue, access cab, 4wd. My wife and I have been searching for about a month now and finally found one available. I left my house Saturday morning at 4:00 AM, and got back home this morning a little after 6:00. The truck had 8 miles on it when I hopped in it and it now has 1,028 miles on it. We took care of most of the paperwork this past week so my time at the dealership in Cedar Park was pretty quick. With a few rebates and her military discount, it was $35,201 before tax, title and licensing. We had to upgrade her to the TRD Off Road to get the blue. Man, this thing is gorgeous. The picture doesn't do it justice. And, I have to admit, this is the first 3rd gen I've driven and this thing has some spunk. It's a six speed automatic, and is only spinning about 2,000 rpms rolling down the road 80 mph. By comparison, my 2014 TRD OR, six speed manual, is spinning about 2,800 at that speed. I think this truck would smoke mine in a drag race, and I think mine runs pretty good.

A thousand miles of seat time in one shot is about my limit. In total, I think the drive took me a little over 16 hours, only stopping for gas, and an occasional snack. When I got home, I slept about 3 hours, then we put a new bumper on my son's Jeep today. He was planning on visiting for the weekend to get it done so we had limited time.
    It was a busy weekend!

Look on their web sight and order the back window version. They are like 80 bucks or so.

Proper Amps are the under appreciated component in these, (any) system. Shitty components can be made to sound decent with the right Amp, while quality components will really amaze when the HU/Amp/driver relationship is dialed in. A little goes a long, long way.

Did alot of work on other tacomas... Mostly welding. Frame reinforcement plates for the blue one, slider install and cab mount chop for the quicksand.

My last set of tires were also a LT tire so I do not sense any change in ride. I'm driving a small pickup truck, not an S Class so I expect the ride to be a little bit harsher but its not break your back harsh.
