    Yup, I understand,

    But here in Colorado they put the truck on the treadmill for 10 minutes,

    Wired into the OBII port and a sniffer in the tail pipe,

    So that will not work here unfortunately unless it’s completely taken out and the OEM installed every two years for this test,

    Will be interesting to see your results tho

    My truck is a 1997 and they did the snif test along with the treadmill.

    All the testing facility here are government run with treadmills.

    Do they do a treadmill + OBII+sniff all together in cal

    I just have to do the OBDII and visual test. Some have to do the tail pipe test but there's a cutoff for it, my truck isnt in that category thankfully

    Just looked it up, apparently there was an amendment to the law a few years ago and only vehicles 1999 or older need the tail pipe test now. Lucky me lol

    Interesting, they did all 3 on my truck last month in Colorado and passed with flying colors with the methonal disconnect with just the supercharger and stock pulley

    Anyone know a good stock muffler i can get? Last one i got rusted out in just a couple years, Im also toying with the idea of a dynomax super turbo but I dont something super loud that ill hear in the cab. From what Ive gathered its a rather quiet performance muffler

    Another question, im throwing an o2 sensor code, is there any way to know if its a bad o2 sensor vs an exhaust leak? If it is an o2 sensor, OEM? or aftermarket will work fine?

    What code? I had a P0136 for the rear o2, bad heater circuit or something like that. New Denso sensor got rid of it. I think p0135 is the same for the front

    p0171, but just checked again and theres also p0440, p0441, and p0446, I replaced the downstream o2 a few years ago but read the upstream is more important, i have a feeling there may be an exhaust leak before the cat but Ill replace the upstream as well if I have to. Im probably due for a cat too since i have never replaced it.

    P0171 means you're running lean, not necessarily a o2 sensor issue but that is one possible culprit. But with those other codes you mentioned being evap related codes I would definitely be looking for a vacuum leak. Bad cats usually throws a p0420

    Do you think an exhaust leak might cause it? the p0171 at least. Ill look around for vacuum leaks, good to know i probably dont need a cat

    I was just about to say that, check the gas cap haha.

    Also if you replaced the cap recently with an aftermarket one they are known to cause problems

    Your t-case runs alot hotter than the transmission?

    I remember seeing this with my 5 speed.

    The temp different on the shift levels are very noticeable different.
    T case runs MUCH hotter for me

    The t-case makes heat a foot farther back than the transmission. I wouldn't say the t-case is hotter than the transmission. I'd say the heat from the t-case is in a more noticable spot that the transmission.

    And when you swap from 2wd to 4wd you have to cut out the knock out in the floor board that is a 5 inch diameter hole. With the twin sticks, I couldn't use the thick rubber boot that is on the J-shift shifter... so there was a 5 inch diameter open hole in the floor board, with the t-case directly under it, (and the t-case beather in that spot as well) and the catalytic converter about 8-10 inches away from it. Heat rises, so the heat would catch in the trans tunnel and blow straight in the big hole in the floor board.
