    Little bit of stuff.
Hey all, up for sale is our 04 Double Cab Offroad.

As she sits right now, she has 286k miles. This number will go up as it is periodically rotated around as a spare vehicle for the family.

Completely stock other than she's currently sitting on a set of 2nd Gen Sport 17" wheels, but I have the stock Offroad 16's and intend to include them in the sale.

Also included is the Leer cap/ shell shown in picture below.

Repairs that I remember off the top of my head:
-Spark plugs will be replaced before sale as they are due now (30k since last replacement)
-Full Synthetic Mobil1 every 5k mi w/ either a Fram, Purolator or Toyota filter.
-Front pads, rotors and calipers 3 months ago
-New frame from Toyota just under a year ago, along with brake drums, shoes and hardware.
-PS Rack and pump just over a year ago
-Timing belt and water pump replaced 30k miles ago
-New front/ rear bumpers in the past few years due to rust.
Much, much more that I can't list off at the moment, but I have the paperwork for everything.

The body isn't perfect, she's got a little more than her share of scratches and chips, and a few dents that I feel aren't severe for a long-lived work truck. She still cleans up great and none of the scratches or ships are cancerous as far as rust goes.

I'll be updating this thread as I dig through my records and find more noteworthy repairs/ maintenance, but please ask if there is anything else you'd like to know about her, all questions can be answered.

As a summary, this truck has served us extremely well for many years. We don't need to get rid of her, but I'm looking to see if anyone can make better use of her as we don't need a truck as a spare vehicle anymore.

Priced at 11K, but I'll entertain reasonable offers, so if you're looking for a tried and true late 1st Gen that's completely ready for whatever path you want to take her down, don't be shy.

    Not currently interested in trades.

I'm located in Norfolk County MA. If there are any long distance interested parties I'll consider traveling for the right deal.

If this thread is still up, she's still for sale.

    Thanks!

Looks like you’ve got a nice vehicle! Is there any chance you’d consider selling the cap? I’ve been looking for a cap for my dcsb (same color as yours so the paint is a mismatch) and I’m in Essex county MA.

Quite possibly, but I would like to keep it with the truck for now. If a potential buyer isn't partial to it, then I'll know who to message

That’s reasonable. Good luck with selling the truck!

... why do sellers "she" so much ?? Always a "she". She this , she that. And when can it be referred to as a "he". Anything macho like a 4-wheel drive, off-road truck, should be a "he". No doubt about it ...

Generally it's just a term of endearment, and also tends to be one of the opposite sex. With some exceptions of course. Thanks for the free bump

I think I’ve looked at the one you’re referring to. I’m holding out for something cheaper.
Thanks for keeping the eye out!

Nope, some of the fabric has gotten a little fuzzy over the years, but no water damage and hasn't been a smoker's vehicle

Sounds like someone is a little insecure.....
    Just messing around.
The reason I call mine she or her is that when a person and vehicle get really in touch they get feelings for each other... how can I put this better? You see when a man and vehicle love each other very much the man tends to put a lot of effort into the vehicle, and this creates the feeling of always wanting to take care of it, kinda like with a woman. That feeling grows and eventually the man calls his vehicle by a feminine name because a 4wd is not just some big masculine thing, it’s subtle, beautiful, and carries a certain confidence that makes it irresistible, again kinda like a real woman. Sometimes the man may actual get confused though, by putting all of his money and time into her and wanting to make her perfect which will never happen, and then when he gets passed four play, and things start kicking off, he realizes that a running exhaust is not the best place to stick it in.
Hope that cleared up any confusion of why most men call their vehicles she or her, it’s not about being macho it’s about love.

    Nice truck btw, OP
