What do most people do to dry out their tents? Had to put mine away wet yesterday before the trip home and now its removed from my rack sitting in my garage with a fan on it. What are some things people do to help with moisture? I love my tent but one thing that clearly doesnt set it apart from a ground tent is the "Dont pack it away wet and leave it" mentality.

Pretty much you gotta open it up the next sunny dry day you got. Having a garage is a huge bonus, you can just open it in there for a few days.

ok solved one of my annoyances with the tent over the weekend.

Very thankful CVT was able to send me their ladder mounts from their Mt Hood tent and I had to make my own T-Slot nut because of course the track is different on the FSR.

Previously the ladder would just hook over the side of the body and press against the zipper, i did not like that idea and looked to fix. This does exactly that and doesnt hinder anything else.

My only problem is my garage isn't tall enough to get the truck inside with the tent on it let alone open it up inside so I have to unbolt it and drag it off the truck and into the garage.

I think mine was 30" center to center. So maybe 32" outside? but like someone else said, you should be ok.

My friend just sold his tent that was the same as mine. Now I have a ballpark of where I could start with mine.. Maybe I should list it again.. at a new lower price :spy: with rack included

Roger. Mine is completely messing with my signal. I slid the tent back so most of the antenna is exposed, but still having issues.

I got my tepui kukeman in May of this year. It's mounted on my 18" voodoo bed rack, so it pops up above the cab quite a bit. I thought it would really affect my mpg, but after just over a year of owning my tacoma and missing a couple data points, it doesn't seem like the tent/rack combo made that much of a difference. I'll keep tracking this cause I'm interested, but maybe other will find this helpful when thinking about a tent. once I learn this software a bit more I might be able to make estimations on missing data, but for now I'm just logging.

My biggest takeaway is temperature affects mpg more than weight.

Pic of my rack and tent for reference.

I also take the rain fly off since it tends to trap moisture evaporating from the tent under it
