Did the harness come with a switch already? If you're planning to use that OEM looking switch, you're going to have to cut off the switch on the harness and run 3 wires into the cab (2 power wires and a ground). One wire goes from a fused power source to the switch. Another will go from the switch to the relay. Then you need to connect the switch to ground. The 4th (green) wire on the switch harness would normally be tapped into the illumination circuit in the dash.

 

is there a switch and relay in the box? Should have enough cord to mount where you want thestuff.

Yeah the harness comes with a switch but I bought the OEM style to match with my other switches. Taking it to an audio store that adds light bars to trucks
