Is Toyota doing any rebates right now? A Dealer quoted me a price in which the major deduction was a "$1000 Rebate". Anyone heard anything about that anywhere ? I asked him for clarification on that. I wasn't aware of any Toyota program at this time.

That particular deal is a no go but I'd like to know if there is a rebate program out there for application to another deal that is working.

    Looking at https://www.toyota.com/gst/deals-incentives/?vehicles=tacoma
    to see what it reveals.

Rebates are regional so depends on where you live but for the Northwest region there is $500 rebate or $1000 finance credit/rebate if you finance on 2021 Tacomas excluding TRD Pros. Go to Toyota.com and shopping tools and local specials and put in your zip code and everything available is listed there for your region.

My dealer just emailed that my TRD Sport in Voodoo Blue with MT has a build date of 11/10 with expected delivery by end of the month. Order was placed 8/31. Voodoo Blue is a hard color to find in Cincy area but can be ordered. Not sure why?

Hypothetical speaking, if Toyota had the $500 cash rebate / $1000 finance credit/rebate, and the special interest rate 1.99%, I would not be able to take the special APR and te $1000 finance credit/rebate, is it correct?

The Finance credit/rebate is new to me. I only see Toyota offers the special APR and cash rebate and customer can select one or the other, but cannot take both.

Currently, Toyota only offers the $1000 cash rebate, and 1.99 APR for 2020 model (exclude PRO)

Correct, can’t have both, that’s how they get ya. And the tier1+ rate is like 4% right now which is garbage if you’re FICO is 760+ but they also have lowered the criteria too.

Precovid with some work you could get to 12-13% off MSRP w/out rebates (I did) and then score the special apr (also did).

Just bought a 2021 Taco. Anyone can have the $500 rebate outside of the Pro. If you finance through Toyota, you get the $1,000 rebate, but it is not 1.99 APR. I have great credit and was only financing half of the truck value, and the best they could (through lots of negotiation) was 3.69 APR. They're not giving low APR for Tacos, unlike other vehicles that Toyota is selling. I took the $1,000 rebate and 3.69 APR because I wasn't financing a ton of money (so thus lower total interest amount). I was preapproved for 2.89 APR with my bank, but the $1,000 rebate + 3.69 APR came away somewhat better for me in the long run and it was easier to just do everything through Toyota rather than involve my bank. Also, just a note that the $1,000 rebate is applied as part of your down payment, not cash returned to you. Didn't matter to me, but good to know for others.

yeah. I will be doing some calculation before I decide to get the 1.99 from Toyota, or take the cash rebate and get finance from my bank.

My salesman just replied that the $1000 for TFS is at standard TFS rate which he says 1) is currently 3.49% and 2) rates fluctuate like the weather.
They're gonna have to do better than that on rates. My FICO is >820
Sounds like I'm not gonna really know what I'm going to do about that until we're looking at the truck in person which will be around Oct 21.
Pretty much have the deal in hand except for that aspect. Have other options on rates too or may just pay them and take the $500.
I'll post details later but it's not a bad deal after much shopping around.
