Good Morning SATX! Woke up slow with a lousy sleep and a headache - must have been all that smoker stress! Coffee is doing it's work though. Time to put all those painted sticks to use today.

 

Lol it's not bad. Mostly sitting and observing. It's just tough getting any rest with a 4th and 5th grader doing home school and an 8 month old. Lol. But I'll live.

I woke up to my sister inlaw banging on the front door just 2 hours after I fell asleep. Lol

Well, it's a BAH Monday!

But I did put some sticks to use. Also got to finally put up some cooking tools I got for Christmas a few years back. I repainted the inside of the shed doors late last week. Easier to see when one was in process.



Why? Because it would drive me nuts looking at it when I hung the shelves I'm putting up. Here's the spiffy briefcase kit, and assorted other goodies I had,

What belongs there will become obvious, I hope.

 

It's not difficult, if you have an interest I would say give it a try!

It can somewhat depend on how in depth you go and what you can do. I made everything, hardwood (mostly oak) shafts, forged points, usually turkey feathers for the fletching.

This guy explains it really well, he's pretty on point with how I made mine, minus a few differences.

It'll be a bit slower going a first, just getting the process down. Once you get that it's not bad at all. I could have ~15 solid arrows drying by the end of day.

My hunting points were mostly broadheads, I did carry a few bodkins but those were usually just for practice.
