They should put in the rear Bilsteins with no charge and no hesitation. If you want the front shocks changed, they will charge you because they have to remove the springs. Ask them how much. Same with the add a leaf. They have to disassemble the leaf pack. Ask how much.

I thought you couldn't get frame replacements for Tacomas that old anymore? I have a 2007 Tacoma that might qualify for frame replacement, do you know if there are there any restrictions on who can get it? I know there might be something about which states you're in and I'm in Washington

Dropped it off on a Monday, picked it up on Friday. When I delivered my parts, I got to check it out while it was tore apart. I did take it back for a little better bed alignment.

I stopped following the time limits on the '07's after mine got done. I do not know if the deadline has passed yet. I would say it has, but not sure.

It's 12 years from date of 1st use. (The exact date that it was originally sold new by the dealer) I can't imagine that your '07 was still sitting on the lot in October of '08. It doesn't matter what state it's in now or where it was sold new. Mine was originally sold new in Canada and my frame is sitting at the dealer in Canada waiting for me, and I can't drive across the border due to the Covid border restrictions.

Oh, that makes sense. One more, in cold weather states they are spraying the frames of basically any frame do you know if they will they spray at all in other states

If you have any rust on your rear bumper/hitch, fight to have it replaced. Rust spreads like a rash and it’s obvious where it would have started.

I had my frame done 2-3 years ago, and just got done replacing my entire tow receiver and bumper. There’s no way it wasn’t a rusty mess when they took it off to do the frame, but they put it back on anyway.

It's been a while since I've read the WEP, but I'm pretty sure the CRC treatment is long over for your truck too.

Pretty sure the warranty enhancement is geared toward cold weather states. https://tinyurl.com/y5gx3475

"The coverage offers the latter of 12 years from the Date of First Use (DOFU) or 1 year from the date of final approval (5/21/2017)."

if your 2009 tacoma was bought in the year 2009 then you are definitely still covered. Take it to another dealer your time is running out.

I attached the Warranty Extension Program document

Do your own research and find out when the date of 1st use was. Enter the VIN on the Toyota owners website and it will tell you. Hopefully it was sold new after October 6, 2008.

it says it is covered until 10/8/20
a request to replace frame was put in by dealership 9/16/20 waiting to hear back
seems there is a record of frame already being replaced in 2018 - if so the new frame totally rusted out in 2 yrs - so now trying to get that straightened out

You really need to kick it up a notch. If you're 1 day past the 12 year mark, you're SOL. The approval and frame replacement doesn't have to be within the 12 years, but the inspection and sending info to Toyota corporate must be within the 12 years. I don't think anybody here knows what happens if the replacement frame rusts out. That's pretty strange.

Your initial post stated that the dealer said you were too late. Now you say they submitted the info to Toyota. Something strange here.

Had my 06 done in July. I'd pay for the body bushing kit. Something that would never get replaced otherwise, but made a huge difference in my trucks ride. Consider yourself lucky. You're probably going to get a lot if freebies like brake lines which means your brake fluid will be changed. Rear springs as well.

How did you have your 06 done in July if you can only et the frame replaced up to 12 years first purchase?
