Can I put a vertical fore-grip on my AR Pistol?

 

Do you mean legally or if you physically can?

 

Legally no not a vertical one but a rearward angled grip is permissible.

 

You should probably read the laws and rules to determine for yourself. What are you going to say if you get caught with something you aren’t supposed to have? “Some dude on the internet said I could”.

 

Sorta tricky question bcause of the haphazard interpretations of an AOW, a pistol, and a firearm.

UNLESS the overall length of the shortest configuration is over 26.0 inches, because then it is considered a "firearm" and not a pistol at that point. The definition allows for a vertical grip, where as a pistol does not. Yeah, some gun laws are...silly

If your pistol has a folding/telescoping stock bRaCe, you'd measure from the shortest position (folded/collapsed). The other end would be the threads or the tip of the muzzle device if pinned.

It shouldn't matter because the AOW statue re: foregrips is federal and I am unaware of any states that ban AOWs. I can think of several that don't allow suppressors, Destructive Devices, and SBRs though. I may be mistaken here.

The ownership of the totally not an SBR pistol in the first place however...
