Mine says the same thing and the fog lights are definitely not LED’s. 3BE08F92-C7B8-46A8-AD35-B3B4D662FFEA.jpg

Man that sucks. Technology Package is factory OEM LED and LED fogs- price difference. I would call Toyota customer service and dealer principal.

I could be wrong but I don't think there are any DOT approved led bulbs. I'm not a lawyer but I think they may have broken the law by selling you a vehicle that wasn't up to DOT standards.

There was another post about a dealer installing LED lights. IIRC, they looked just like that, and it may have been in Colorado as well? Sorry, I searched, but tacomaworld has a jihad against the search function....

I want to say it was Autonation though? But my memory on the details is sketchy at best...

What dealership? Now I'm concerned about my headlights on the one I just bought

Edit: I have halogen fog lights as well and Toyota says I have LED DRLs and fog lights. Maybe it means we have LED DRLs and that we have fog lights too?

Edit 2: Just emailed toyota customer service about it. I'll update with what they send me.

Edit 3: Toyota confirmed that that line means there's LED DRLs and halogen foglights. OP's dealership pulled a fast one on him.

The Dealer is Autonation Toyota Arapahoe (pretty much Denver). I think the wording on the option list is just awkward and means the DRL is LED and that you have fog lights as well.
In my case though, the wording on the dealer ad said LED headlights, LED DRL and LED fogs, unfortunately the listing was taken down after I bought the truck and the dealer apparently doesn't keep any record of how they list vehicles. Pretty much my word against theirs at this point, I am going to get an answer about the LED retrofit H11's that magically appeared in the truck though.

Found it. It was AutoNation. If you've bought a truck (or anything) from them, I'd double check it. @DesignatedDriver had the same bulb in his (hers? theirs?).

I remember when I bought my 2020 back in Dec 2019 that the build generator on Toyota's website was very confusing for the TRD models. The technology package and the advanced technology package were not clear on what you were choosing and the LED headlights were a separate option altogether. I do have the factory LED's, and this is what my build sheet says when I enter my VIN.

I would assume that unless you have a pre-sale document that states "LG LED Headlights with LED DRL + Black Bezel LED Foglights"
that you're not going to get far with the dealer. It does seam shady that they would put in those LED replacement bulbs to try and cover something up.

Yeah, F*** AutoNation. Good luck getting it straightened out. I had to practically take them to court just to have them repair what they had promised to. And I had that in writing! Maybe someone needs to call Tom Martino

This should be your course of action with the dealer. You headlights are NOT DOT compliant anymore. I’d throw that at them, and see what comes back. What state did you buy in? this is where you can Bring in the distributor or Toyota directly if needed. But talk to dealer first.

This is where I got my truck and in my experience once they made their money they don’t care about you. Stay away from their service department as well.

That means you have LED daytime running lights and also Fog lights. Not LED headlights and LED Fog Lights.

Thanks, I figured as much. I'm not too bothered by it but if I were OP I'd be pretty peeved.
