I have the Relentless bed rail caps on my 2015, and my hacksawed shark fin does NOT look totally rad. Had I only known in advance, I would have procured one of your bullet covers... but the Drifter ain't coming off now.

You don’t have to remove the drifter to change out the cover. As a matter of fact, when the cover was in development, I had only ever installed/remover the cover with the drifter on.

Go in through the rear window. It’s very straight forward.

Stock the bullet cover? Nope. You can order that @ www.trpoffroad.com if you would like. VO does stock the metal bed rail caps though. Just give Phil a holler.

+1 i was able to install my cover on my 2nd gen with the drifter on. It's a little awkward but its totally do able.

I had my drifter with some kbvoodoo rails with the stock factory antenna cover. The drifter didn't touch initially but after the drifter settled a bit, it started hitting the shark fin on bigger pot holes and speed bumps. Glad I installed the @Anderson cover quickly thereafter.

If you saw what was under the factory bed rails you would understand why no one has done this yet. Even with the metal bed rail caps, I wouldnt suggest this move.

I removed mine and sealed them in prep for the drifter and it looks like it could be done by inserting revnuts and caping the top with metal bed caps.

Definitely don't want to miss the call. Does anyone know if the call comes in from Vagabond's main line? I want to program it into my phone.

Maybe if you had backing plates. I wouldn’t trust the entire weight of the camper shell to a few rivnuts. Imagine side loading your camper shell around a corner or an off camber position with a sudden lurch. Those rails are far to flimsy for anything but something light weight. The camper shell clamps attach to the bed rail system and a very secure. So secure, they kept a camper shell on a 3rd gen after it rolled.

Yup. When you get your final email make sure you tell Phil to include them.

    It’ll probably be an email.

Hi everyone- Order #129 here. I picked up my Drifter last Monday! We were excited, to say the least. Phil and Chris were great and installed my Goose Gear baseplate and Rago bed stiffeners (I had discussed this with them ahead of time). The Drifter turned out exactly as we had hoped. One of the downsides of the wait was that we kept adding on additional items to our order so by the end of it, I think we had every option except the powder coating. We had designed the internal buildout so we when got the Drifter home, it was mostly plug and play. Let me know if you have any questions, but I thought everyone would appreciate seeing some progress.

Also, thank you to everyone on this forum. I have learned sooo much and made quite a few friends!

Thanks! The water setup is a 16-gallon tank that I got from Amazon, connected to a Shurflo (12V 3.0gpm) pump that is then connected to the Guzzleh20 Stealth water filtration system.

Those are arguably the best and most functional part of the vehicle. They are made by a company called Eezy Supplies. One is a cupholder and the other is a small tray perfect for tools, keys, etc. They are magnetic and stick to your vehicle without damaging the paint. I love them. Worth noting, they do not stick to the Drifter :-( Highly recommended!
