I don’t have too much of a rust issue where I live. I was going to do like you said with the pins, but considering the truck is a 2011, I got it 3 years ago, and the pins were still free and not seized, I decided not to. I only had a small amount of lubricant that came with the kit so I didn’t want to waste any on the pins just to be sure I got to both sets of pads first. Nevertheless, I still sprayed them with some wd40 and wiped them clean. Really wasn’t even a sign of rust, just tons of brake dust lol

So your pins didn't look like this?

Vice spreader couldn't even get them out...I had to replace the entire calipers...

Holy smokes dude. That’s insane. Definitely makes me glad I live where I do. How much did the new calipers run you?

I had a Toyta original new right hand side I got for $100 off a Tacomaworld member who didn't need it and it had blue paint on it...and the left was $60 from one of the auto parts chains with a remand of the old one..I laughed because I put it in the remand box with the pads and pins still stuck in it :)

Pull the horn fuse (10A under hood) before you start or your neighbors will think you're crazy.

I have Spidertrax 1.25. They are only on the rear because the spindle lift pushed the front wheels out .75” further than the rear. I’ve had no issues so far.

This brush with Mr. Pink to clean (sparingly so as not to douse any important electronic things). Blow it out with this, then 303 Aerospace Protectant with a microfiber towel on all the things.

    And thanks!

Took about 30 minutes not counting the time spent doing other things while it was drying.
