I list the bottom MAX width as a "general rule of thumb" If the layout is within a few MM I can make it work. I have done 5 along the bottom before

@MESO if you have the cargo switch on the bottom of the panel, how many additional spaces/buttons could fit? I actually bought one of these on this last run but have found that I’m needing more and more room for accessories (ran out of room already)

You guys want me to open up another round of these?

You could mount it vertically on top. But if keeping it at the bottom you could do E(cargo) + 3 B’s max

Anyone who got a left side panel that uses B size slots, did you have trouble with re-slotting in the OEM switches to your custom panel due to keying on them? I went to put in mine (BBBB top, stock bottom) and ran into issues where I couldn't put the OEM switches in to the @MESO custom panel due to the "keys" on the switch being lower than the cutouts on the generic B slot.

Here's the stock/OEM panel, with the "keys" on the lower left (when looking from behind) that are causing issues circled:
    PXL_20200927_231757403_ex.jpg

And here's my @MESO custom panel I had ordered back almost a year ago (ended up trading in my truck and took a long time before I got my 2020 and was ready to install). As you can see on the left side, the cutout doesn't go down that low:
    PXL_20200927_231804172_ex.jpg

I messaged @MESO and he's being awesome enough to let me send it back to him and trim them out for me so it works and they'll fit, but it surprises me that no one else has run into it before. Not sure if keying changed in 2020s or people are just shoving them in there anyway (you can kind of force them in if you REALLY try, but I don't like forcing it if I can help it). If it truly is a problem, wondering if the generic B slot he uses needs to be updated for the future.

What is that red switch? Is that for running different batteries while the car is off?

    It's a Blue-sea ML-ACR. It's a voltage sensing battery link/disconnect between the 2 batteries.

Technically it's not required for a dual-battery system but I like having the option for a manual override.

Also, with BBBB up top, that will require trimming of some of the trim behind the panel doesn't it? Does anyone have a good tutorial or method for doing that? Dremel, knife, etc work? How much needs to be cut out if so?

I'm currently researching air saws :) Of course I don't have my arb twin yet but someday...

I do have one of these which is awesome but almost certainly overkill for that small space. A dremel and cutoff wheel is probably all you need, along with vice grip hands and nerves of steel.

I did the Tekonsha panel and needed to do some trimming behind the dash. I started with a Dremmel and moved to a small saw blade with fine teeth for precision. The Dremmel made me too nervous with the wiring.

Seeing your other post, I too had difficulty with one of my switches. I eventually got it in but it was frustrating as hell getting it in. I also had a minor hiccup getting the panel in the dash as the top right corner wouldn't pop in. Eventually got it in and it's been solid since.

You'll be good. Just do little pieces at a time. And you're trimming stuff you'll never see.

I don't have anything right now to even start with. Might be time to invest in a Dremel kit.

Thanks for the vote of confidence though. ;)

Dremel is a must have for metal but I find myself scared of it for plastic, maybe b/c I don't have fantastic fine motor skills or maybe because I don't have a perfect wheel for plastic and the rotozip bits just go sideways so easily.

I picked up one of today after reading a few reviews. I try to avoid HF for tools but in this instance with light use and low cost I was willing to take a chance. I have a neighbor with a shop compressor I can borrow until I get my arb. I'll let you know if it's any good if I get to use it. I'd use one of my two dewalt reciprocating saws (smaller one posted above) for any heavy use so this would just be for super light duty where maximum control is needed. I think for cutting plastic a small reciprocating saw is ideal vs a rotary tool but the Dremel is far more versatile overall.

I have a HF just 5 minutes away, so let us know how it goes! I'd think my little compressor could hopefully handle that...
