i havent used my gsxr1000 at all lately... been thinking of making a super sleeper smart car. I dont have a busa but the gsxr1000 is very close in power and torque to the busa, just at a higher rpm... (i used to have a hayabusa until i was hit by a drunk driver)

    Smart car stock engine
    1000cc
    70HP (54 to the wheels)
    68Ft/lbs. (62 to the wheels)

    Gsxr1000
    1000cc
185hp (181 to the wheel on the dyno with powercommander and yosh exhaust)
89Ft/lbs. (92 to the wheel on the dyno)

    SmartBusa (smartgixxer) performance specs

    0-60 4.2seconds
    1/4mile 12.4 sec.
    top speed limited to 120mph

looks like fun and doesnt take much fabrication...

they can pull 1 lateral g with the right wheel tire combo :D

I found one with 30k miles and a bad tranny for $7000... plus i already have the gixxer... so 10,000 total investment for a hell of a toy.

im pretty serious about this and am even thinking about parting out the rest of the gsxr minus the running gear... i could get 3-4gs out of the frame forks and other misc, stuff. sell the dirtbikes and my s10 back in ny and id have plenty of money to do this

then buy the smart car and sell the stock engine, tranny, etc. for the conversion kit and other misc stuff id need like materials and axles

form the looks of what it would take at smartbusa.us i think itd take me about 2-3 weeks and id have a wicked toy

Ya I don't remember them being that pricey last time I looked at them. I seem to remember it being almost half that price.
