Thanks Matt! That's nice of you to say.

Being in a state of constantly wondering if you're capable of doing the things you prepare for is not healthy. Not knowing what the outcome will be when you finally do is definitely scary AF! Finally doing them is honestly very liberating. Considering where I was a year ago makes it even better.

As we were making our way through the forest trails we came to a clearing and on the left was this path of dirt and gravel going up into the woods. I saw it as we pulled over and thought, "man, look at that shit! That looks like it would be cool to go up if it was possible, but there is no way". Then Dave walked over and said "hey look, if you guys want, we can try to get up that (pointing to the trail)" He went on to say that he's had never been up it in a truck and only attempted it in his LC and his atv's. He said he hadn't been up it a while and wasn't sure if it was even passable. We all had comms and the general consensus was "Meh, uhhh, errr, I suppose we could try" Dave looked at me as said "you sure?" I was like F it, let's do this.

I locked the rear and put it 4lo and took my time and followed them up slowly. There were a couple double log areas, and some rutted out areas. I was more worried about pin stripes but everything touching the truck was soft. A couple times I thought for sure something was going to drag underneath, or impact the front or rear bumpers but we were lucky. We just took our time and plotted our route carefully.

I think overall, until I can get some more armor it was exciting enough to satisfy all my needs. It was as far as I would like to push my truck. :D

Also had a great day on Saturday with my new P80 G17 build. I definitely need more practice but for the first time I did ok. I could stop an intruder.

Yea, it was great. Being with the friends you make on here sharing like that is really something we should all experience.

Well, I use to hunt deer when I was younger and very active with the whole culture. Hell, I even bow hunted. Waterfowl too. But I've never owned a handgun.

Unfortunately, the accident last year has left my predominant right hand shaky. So I think I need to learn how to shoot left handed. I'm right eye dominate too so I need to practice with both eyes open.

Like you said, ammo is so damn expensive right now so I have to limit my stock as much as possible. I only put a little over a hundred rounds through it. I really hope this situation changes. I'm also considering a 12ga. Tactical and semi-automatic. I'm really liking the Mossberg 930 SPX.

    Your absolutely right.
My hands shake as well when I’m doing a fine motor skills task from a mild tbi with handguns it’s near impossible to get steady. Josh showed me what a red dot can do for accuracy it’s been a game changer for me it might be something you should look into. Perhaps try a friends gun with one to see if you like it.
