No lol it’s a silly dealer tactic. It’s only through that dealer not Toyota.

Do they give you paperwork on it? Can you hold them, to it?

So I only bought from one dealer that had a "lifetime powertrain warranty" and that was Laurel Toyota in PA, and yes they did give me some paperwork, but as I alluded to its only through the dealer itself, you can't go somewhere else for repair work, just don't make it your reason to buy from said dealer, most people will never utilize it and dealers know that so they use it as a way to attract customers.

It was Michael Ross. I didn't even know about that lifetime powertrain warranty, I will have to look into that. If its legit, thats definitely worth the few extra bucks I paid.

Which Costco dealers did you talk to? The Costco search didn't pull up any dealerships (based off Redwood City).

I just upgraded to a 2021 the other day. I have to wait 3 week for it to get here though. Cement TRD Offroad 4x4 with Tech Package for $38,171 OTD. They ended up buying my 2009 SR5 for $12k wich i paid my wifes car off with so i only have one payment.

Smart choice, though difficult I'm sure.

And there are hoops to jump through in order to keep it intact. I got one with my truck and it requires that I get all the (grossly overpriced)scheduled services done at the dealership. So they’re going to make money off to you in that way as well. I’m glad to have it but it’s not a dealbreaker but any means.

You might wanna give them (Costco) a call to find out which dealerships / models they're covering in your area. They really helped me dial in my search. Ultimately didn't get me what I want, and I'm still a little skeptical about 'Costco Pricing' that seems like it gives salespeople a lot of wiggle room, but at least they let me know which dealerships within 800 miles were giving Costco pricing on Pros (spoiler: None of them. They're all lying :))

The one place I went to lied as well. They tacked on an $1100 BS fee in addition to the Costco price and were rude about it when I questioned it. But I wonder if it would help if you reported them to Costco and explained what was happening. From what I understand there are certain things they need to do in order to be a Costco dealer and get the benefit of those leads. And just generally Costco seems to do things right so I wouldn’t think they would be OK with bs.

I had a very extended conversation with one of the Costco people. I was actually pissed enough that I offered to track down the liars with him so that he could report their shenanigans. We called a few dealerships that purported to have the Pro on Costco pricing and then, magically, 15 minutes after my inquiry, they put in an exception due to 'supply and demand'. This happened 3 times. I asked the Costco dude if there was any recourse about enforcing the pricing and he basically said 'no, but if they keep it up, we'll drop the contract.' When I mentioned such to the dealerships, they didn't really give a damn.

In other words, my takeaway is that if Costco pricing works out and they actually give it to you, great, but Costco is toothless to do anything in your favor when it comes to in-demand vehicles. Super bummer, since I was really hoping they could come through on a Pro for me.

Looks about right. I was 37,810 before incentives and rebates on the same vehicle in TX. Where are you located? Your taxes look better.

I’m disappointed in Costco. They generally exceed my expectations.

What was the interest rate did you get thru the Toyota Financing Services?

they did knock down 2.4k on the MSRP. not bad. i read that now 2021 comes with the LED headlights/fog lights as "default" from factory and I am glad that dealer did not get all the dealer add-on stuff.

no wonder i thought the 35k included the rebate, but before TTL was too good. I cannot find anything like that in So, Cal.

the ~36k before ttl and taxes is with rebates but without trade in. They gave my trade in 5500 and I’m putting 500 as a cash deposit applied towards the down payment. So true out the door is 32,319. As for interest rate, still pending because the vehicle hasn’t arrived on the lot.
