Just another example of you going above and beyond to help out our community! I would love to do that deal and will do my best to compare the HP tuned ECU vs the UCon with some before and after logs across the RPM band. May need to get a little help from a wizard in here that can interpret the uTune logs so we can better compare them. Thanks a bunch man, i will PM you and get your details so i can ship it off this week. Would you accept some beer monies for your trouble at least?

 

Now this is going to get REAL interesting!

My black box is sitting on a shelf in the garage now. When I eventually move to a JFR exhaust and meth/water, super interested in the best tuning option to handle the variables. On the other hand, I am not convinced the UCON was not creating some of my problems. Still waiting for cold weather to set in to see if my misfires on startup come back.

 

I'll bet UCon has been causing the misfires. Mine had similar issues and it was a nightmare to track down. Best way to isolate it is to get a spare ECU or get yours HP tuned to help isolate the variable. That's one thing i do like about the UCon. It pulls about 15-20% fueling on the top end to compensate for the water meth im spraying. Im not sure you'd want to do something similar on the HP tuned ECU bc it doesnt have the guardian to protect the motor if the Water/meth stops spraying for some reason. Curious to see how that will work on the HP tuned ECU though now that you mention it

I'm running a 2.7". TRD tune, TRD exhaust, AFE intake, that's about it.
I'm at 4500 ft altitude so it saves me having to do fuel pump and other upgrades yet.

Yep, 2.7 at my altitude puts the boost equivalent to a 3.0 at sea level.
