Its a '98 Bass Tracker, 16.5' flat bottom, Haulrite trailer(new wheels, tires, led lights, winch), 2015 Mercury 15hp outboard (tiller steer, low hours, bought new in 2017 from BassPro Shops), two Sears DieHard deep cycle batteries, Minnkota onboard charger/maintainer, front Motorguide foot-control trolling motor, Hummingbird fish finder, anchor, bilge pump(needs new hose), seats, life vests, fire extinguisher, etc.
I redid the decking and carpet when I purchased it. Title to both boat & trailer in hand.

Opinions on hitch skids? I've dragged mine a few times coming off the rocks. Have been thinking about getting one, but wondering if having a huge flat surface like that would run the risk of doing more damage from a slam down.

I think they super unnecessary. Before I had a bumper, I put a shackle receiver in my hitch. Drug that thing and slammed on it all the time with no problems. All that’ll happen with one is you’ll get hung up more since it hangs a little lower.

Randy hath spoken! This sounds sad, but I was more worried about dragging the Line-x off and then making rust. I will opt not to get a hitch skid. I do have a shackle receiver around here somewhere from the days before I had bumpers.

I ended up buying a "hybrid" I guess, the Sterling Wild West Hitch Pro...basically it's like a long hitch and a shackle hitch had a baby. AKA an elongated shackle receiver (but has 3 sets of pin holes for how far in/out you want it from the receiver). Figured tuck it all the way in and you're not too terribly further out than a regular shackle hitch. If bumper skid is needed, just bump it out a notch or two for more departure angle protection (since we all aren't @bob'dTacos)[IMG]

I haven’t seen that before, but it does add length which isn’t always good.

edit: (my post submitted while i was typing)

how far out does it stick on the closest setting? It’s nice to have a recovery point on the back that’s removable, so it is definitely a useful piece.
