You can buy aftermarket springs specifically made to work on 96-97. There was no information from your post so it's important to inform potential buyers.

No information? I said what they were AND posted a screenshot from the manufacturer. How much more do I need to do? People need to be responsible for their own actions, if they want to buy these springs it’s on them to do the research. Google.

All it said was 95-04 - asking you to let people know if they're new to Tacoma's they won't be able to bolt up the springs to their 96-97 is common decency and how we prefer to do things.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Dude... he has them listed EXACTLY THE SAME as All-Pro lists them on their page.

I know what you're saying. And I know they don't fit 95-97 without modifications. But he is listing them with the same description as the original manufacturer. If someone buys a set of aftermarket leafs and neglects to do even a little bit of their own research... too bad... I guess they could re-list them here in the marketplace when they can't figure out how to make them work.

The point is to save the trouble of going through that unnecessarily. Why would you purposefully withhold information on these. If you’re just wanting to make a buck and couldn’t care about who’s buying them sell them somewhere on Craigslist or at a swap meet.

I don't think it's like that at all... I think OP listed it the way he did, because that is the way it's listed from the vendor he bought it from.

Say he had listed it as 98-2004 leaf pack and someone had searched AllPro for info and not found a 98-2004 leaf pack... because that's not how AllPro lists the leaf pack.

I think you're making a much bigger deal out of this than needs to be. MOST people, when buying something like this, would at least look on the AllPro page to see what they would be getting... at which point, the spec that says there are mods needed for 95-98 are clearly there.

If someone is dumb enough to just buy a set of preowned leaf springs, for $475, from some guy on the internet... without even doing the absolute bare minimum research like looking up the item on the original vendor's page... well, they are stupid, and need WAY more help than they are going to find on TacomaWorld.

    lol

Yeah well all I added originally was make it simple to someone perusing his OP. Not impossible to do more quickly than the time potential buyers would need to go over to the website - and if anyone is judging their advertising as any sort of standard they need help as well lol.

Biggest point I'm tryin to make is I don't think there's any deception being attempted here. I think OP only listed them the way he did because that is how they were listed when he bought them.

Pretty sure all the rest of the discussion in this thread makes it very clear, to any perspective buyer, that further modifications would be necessary on a truck pre 1998.
