But you can turn it on manually so I don't think it is the fuse.

I'm not sure what to think...my understanding is that when putting the truck in reverse, the HU should be sensing a 12v "trigger". I'm going to check the pin with a voltmeter to see if its seeing the 12volts when i put it in reverse.

You may also want to check the headunit for camera configuration.

Two of my favorite things right there lol. Yeah we’re still in that building, but the majority of us (myself included) are working remotely

Isn't telecommuting awesome? I’ll be curious to see how many companies keep it a thing forever. I know for us, many of our productivity and engagement numbers have skyrocketed (in a good way) across the board ever since everyone started working from home. Compare that with the fact that it’s usually cheaper to let everyone WFH vs what it costs to keep some of those office buildings running day in and day out.

Why yes, those are my two favorite things!
I'm curious too. There was a big initiative by the County's sustainability coordinator to update the WFH policies before COVID, and now that my department has shown that at least a large portion of our divisions can work from home effectively with the same or greater efficiency, I'll be interested to see how that goes.

A lot of the major tech companies have extended WFH until 2022 or beyond. So a lot of those tech gurus are moving from the Bay Area into the surrounding (cheaper) areas to WFH. I am assuming huge offices with rows of computers will soon be a thing of the past. However, productivity working from home (at least in my case) isn't good for me. Especially in my current role. I have a really hard time staring at a laptop screen, surrounded by everything else I want to do in my house.

I actually can't wait to go back to the office, assuming a hybrid future where we WFH 2-3 days a week. Being in person is great when you need to collaborate on a whiteboard or have spur of the moment conversations. It's also nice to be able to see and touch the product you are working on if you work in hardware. I joined my current gig while in COVID so I haven't met half my colleagues in person yet.

Between Sunnyvale and Santa Clara, there are more than a few data centers, one or two in the final stages of completion.

Never mind at least 2 or 3 million square feet of class A space and thousands of new condo/apartments going in. The Rona has changed the real estate landscape for the next couple of years at least. The need for data centers won't go away, the need for class A office will probably slow way down and I'll bet a lot of it will be empty for a while. A long while.

Hi All. New to the forum as we just got our 2020 Tacoma last month. Anyone recommend a shop that can do powder coating for a reasonable price?

    Thanks.

I wasn't meaning data centers. We know those are needed... but you don't need an office full of people to maintain them either (correct?). As long as the infrastructure doesn't collapse on us due to a huge earthquake or a massive fire, WFH should be OK for those people in those communities. I don't imagine the price tags for those luxury condos stay at the top price they were going for either.

Prices for apartments in SF alone have dropped 25% since this time last year.. I wouldn't say now is the time to get into that market, but it sure beats what it was a 6-9 months ago.

It all interacts. In many respects, it doesn't matter where the consumers of the DC are. It does matter where they are-the Santa Clara ones are along a creek...I'll just leave you with that. I do think companies need to figure out how to bring people together if they decide WFH is the way. Just to keep teams performing. Without the requirement for people to be in the Valley, they're going elsewhere-Tahoe being a huge destination. The number of people in the office has definitely been reduced.

It's awesome when you come out of the mini mart with your case of beer on the way home from work... to find that your front tire is flat... and then go to open the door and the handle breaks.
