AFAIK, folks have only been messing with the Air Load Control, Acceleration - Primary Throttle, and Throttle Management - First Gear maps.

I wonder why there seems to be a torque limitation between that rpm range.

What are ignition deviation factor multipliers?
How do we adjust these to our benefit?

How do we control Cruise Control shift points?

Simply put: A more detailed explanation of each map, what it does, and what the values are, would be GREATLY appreciated!

Highlighting the ones that would benefit us most, and simply stating, this one should be left as is. Examples being the ACIS table that states .78 or 25000.**.

Perhaps having one class dedicated to watching you go through a stock file, and how you tuned it to be a performance file. What things did you look for, and why you made the changes that you did.

    I did.

I selected all numbers under 89 and multiplied by 10%, then i did it again. Any numbers that went over the max value i put back to below max.

    My questions for you Matt.

Why does the throttle primary for gear one show throttle angles below 14 when the trucks throttle plate doesn't close beyond 14?

What is the relationship between the primary throttle nap and the gear specific ones? Formula? Percentages?

Vehicle speed raw in the throttle request to air load, conversion from raw to actual speed?

And, is the PID for relative throttle the one that should be used to monitor the position of the pedal?

Can someone point me to the information for alternator settings for a standard (not agm) 24f battery? Or am I wasting my time to modify vft settings on this? TIA.

You may add this question to the list(units of measure in general). I was looking into it and to me those are in kph. There was a post from one member who slashed those numbers by 1.3 to get his mods hitting shiftting points.

It should say on the battery or specs what the charging voltage should be. I would imagine you wouldn't have to make any changes.

Thanks, I figured they were some sort of speed values. Just wanted to get an idea of what I was changing and what the result “should” be.

This is very very unscientific but figured I'd share anyway. Yesterday morning I set all Torque Converter Locking and Unlocking "S" maps to 255, all values. Truck did seem to accelerate marginally smoother, respond to pedal input a little nicer, and lost some of that boat or cvt feeling I get sometimes. However my gas mileage on my commute plummeted from 22-23 to 19-20. Trans temps seemed to run warmer as well, I was seeing 205F pretty easily coming off of the TC prior to the cooler. Normally wouldn't expect to see that temperature as easily given the weather. I don't think 205F is that unheard of for the third gen tacos, though. Tonight I reset the gear 1-4 "S" maps to stock values. Hopefully we can all continue to learn how to monitor and tune partial lock up. Given my 2 day experiment I don't think trying to completely eliminate it is a good solution, the computer mpg estimates indicate I took a pretty good efficiency hit for a marginal driveability improvement.

So i have been driving 2 days on mods to 5,6, s1,s2,s3 tables for 3 and 4.
    -Mpg did not change.
-i did see tc temps go up to 203°, but I drove uphills and lots of stop and go traffic. 200's are normal. I saw temps higher in stop and go traffic on other iterations of the tune and stock.
But, I have flashed with s2 only mod to 3,4 gears and will see if this is working

With these recent changes everybody made are your trucks shifting to 5th gear at around 40mph and the truck sits around 1100rpms and loses all power until you give it a little more gas and the truck downshifts?
