We were much younger as well, so things changed there too.

She was diag'd with depression. I always suspected more, perhaps not diagnosed or just not discussed with me.

 

If I could go back and do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. All the choices I made in life, led to me to where I am today. The good, the bad, and the ugly, I consider my marriage to be a blessing in my life.

 

You're welcome. Give yourself some time to just be, to work through the newness of it all... I didn't go looking, just talked to people I randomly met and let things flow, or not. Most recently ran into someone while hiking and eight months later, things are going extremely well.

Also, be warned that single women of a certain age - at least in my limited experience - are extremely cynical and distrustful compared to how I remember things when we were all 25. Even if they're capable of trusting, it can take a long time and a lot of hard work to get to the point where you're not "the enemy". This, of course, assumes that you're trustworthy and actually looking to be trusted for the right reasons.

I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. If it wasn't meant to be, maybe it was for the best.

 

Figuring my shit out as well through this separation / divorce. Tried everything and still love her and wish her the best but to abandon your family due to drugs is irreconcilable. Addiction is a horrible beast that will destroy everything in its path. Trying to be a dad and mom to our daughter is extremely difficult. I know I’ll be ok and will have an even better father/ daughter relationship throughout this bump in the road.

 

I feel your pain. My first long term relationship ended because of her doing drugs and me being a single dad of two daughters... we were together for 6 but never married

 

It’s a hell of a rollercoaster that we will be on for life since we have sex trophies with them.

 

i dont believe in marriage unless children are involved

couples live together............success NO better than married

remember what i said about kids

6-7 out o 10 raised by single parent ( combination o married & live together )
substantiated by ANY school teacher.....counselor or juvenile court probation officer)

the issue aint inherent to marriage

its truly all about 99% arent prepared to deal with someone else

Marriage is an institution of women, for women and by women. Even when it's over men are quite often still indebted, financially, to the woman. Women want equal opportunity and so on and so forth. Fine, lets do away with spousal support entirely. Child support should be based on the financial needs of the child and the mother shouldn't be allowed to touch a single penny for her use.

Most people marry the wrong person for the wrong reason and have the wrong values in order to make a marriage not only "work" but be a genuinely happy and better experience than being single for both people.

American women and American culture teach the principles that lead directly to American divorce rates and misery.

Men don't take enough of the blame, even though women are our problem haha, we let them be and don't correct it or stand up for ourselves, generally speaking.

 

My wife is angry with me because her mom took too long grocery shopping.
