long days, like the new car it doesn’t get as good as fuel mileage as the white TDI, but is to be expected since it’s slightly bigger and more powerful even before being deleted.

Is it a hatchback? I've never owned a small car, but kinda dig the little hatchbacks :D

Yes, it’s a 2 door hatch. Also I agree I think VW hit the sweet spot with the golf on sporty yet contemporary and professional. No bogus super sharp curves.

    Looks like this.

Do you think it would still get 40mpg with a big brick on the top?

I would like to go again next year, I just need to burn 2 weeks lol yea I wasn’t 100% sure on black bear, especially if I’m alone. I heard stock trucks have done it before, only seen a few videos about it. I’d be worried about one back wheel sliding off a bit and not having a front wheel pulling...

I got the Smittybilt 2783 gen 1. I found it on eBay for $850 shipped which I thought was a really good deal. The ebay seller was 4wheelparts and they have them for $1035 on their website so maybe it’s a close out sale for the gen 2? Pretty excited my bed bars come in this week too. I’ll be ready for windsock and the traverse:D

I got 40 hand calculated with my old blue 2011 Golf TDI 6Speed hauling about 2000 lbs from GA to Clanton. I had a 6x14 trailer with 2 18x14 Commercial wind rated barrel doors. I did slow down to 65 though Bc at 70 the 4’ hanging off the trailer took enough weight off tongue to cause slight fish tailing.

so I’ve never had first hand experience with the brick, but judging by previous hauling experience I’d say less weight and 2 less tires on road causing friction it’s very possible.

IIRC this was after the car had been deleted of emissions equipment and tuned. So the engine had more power, but was breathing a heck of a lot better too. Also no regen cycles stealing fuel and power.

Nice, RTT are awesome. I love mine. Though thinking of upgrading to a hardshell in a little while.

Just hanging out at work. I've been off for 2 nights waiting for my front door to be replaced so I could lock up. Some piece of shit thieves decided they needed my stuff more than I did.

Not the biggest fan of ground tents, so I think I’ll like this much better. Why are you thinking about a hard shell?
