I have some laying around but it’s not that big of a sheet. I can give you dimensions in a couple days.

As long as it would cover the area of a third brake light I’d take it! The Leer Cap light is a tad smalller than the OEM Toyota on my 3rd gen

    thank you!!!

Pretty sure it will and the some. You can have it if you can cover shipping. I work 24 hour shifts so I can get it shipped out Thursday.

Just curiously, would it be easier just to unplugh the harness or bulb instead of covering the light up?

I don’t want to cover the light.- but it has an awful Bright silver:chrome bezel that sticks out like a sore thumb. So my plan was the wrap the entire lights and then cut out the center part where the red lamps are visible- hiding the bright silver.

Ahhhhh gotcha, that makes a lot more sense. And vinyl comes off easier than a coat of flat black from a rattle can.

I considered that rout but the light is a PITA to remove and when I spoke to LEER about removing it and resealing it, they said unless it was done at a LEER dealer I’d void the waterproof warranty. So scrap wrap seems the better way to go on all fronts. Guess I better learn to wrap lol

Aww man. They are such idiots. First off the only dealer is like 90 miles from me who offers a mil discount. So the savings I thought was worth the trip, plus it’s Cap World- a big dealer franchise- in my area anyway. Takes like 10 weeks for the cap to arrive..So drive an hour plus there turns out They order wrong cap (silver not MGM). So I got a sorry- we will toss in an add on for your trouble. I was like OK cool. But as expected I have another 8-10 week wait. Get the call it’s in, drive back down there and they had ordered it all correctly except they forgot to check the box for “longbed” so the cap was a short bed version. Which is really strange because the first wrong one was a long bed one.

third try and 6 trips later the correct one was there. They added a rug liner and auto/remote lock And screens for me for my troubles tho I’m sure that doesn’t offset the 3 tanks of gas it took to get it right! As my dad always says, “ya can’t fix dumb, son”.

Good god man, that sounds absolutely ridiculous. I mean, at what point do you sit down with them and walk them through how to do their damn job?

I only slightly felt bad because LEER doesn’t take sealer screw ups back. So these guys were stuck with two custom caps in inventory that they probably are gonna take a loss on

Still not your fault. Honestly, after the second one, I'd have probably called Leer directly and said look, something needs to change here.
