Went and made my wife a blind today out of cedars. Saw a nice one on the way in.



Picked out the spot in front of the oak tree.



Drove in some metal rods.



Tied the trees to the stobs.



Then got a chair and put in it and cut some holes to shoot out of.





Done! Smells like fresh cedar too

 

Hauled the small tractor and disc over and reseeded some of the food plot that is non existent.




Used the disc to haul my stuff to build the blind.

JACKPOT at Cabela's today. I'm probably set for life for that Savage 220.

 

pussy, thats only 80 deer if ya dont miss.....

No worries. I can shoot 3 this year (buck and 2 does in a specific zone).

 

Well the 4runner has been converted to a sleeper. Pack and Rifle are in the garage waiting by the door. Ice chest is in the rig. Hitch carrier is installed. Box with clothes and Misc items is loaded. Just waiting till friday. Hopefully get permission on a few more places and find a decent buck before saturday.

 

Well we finished up the last mule deer tag of the year. My cousin shot a buck that I've been watching and hunting for 3 years. When I decided to shoot the big typical I told him that the cheater buck was his if we got the opportunity. Luckily after 5 days of looking we turned him up and he sealed the deal. Both my buck and his buck ended up scoring within 1" of each other. Next month we'll be headed to Kentucky to hunt whitetails and then december/January Arizona for coues and muleys.

Thanks @six5creed we feel pretty lucky to get the ones we got this year. Alot of time put into those 3 deer!

 

The mass on those bucks is crazy!
