I love following this guy's videos... for his old burgundy D-max he used to only run 31s. It's because of him I'm sticking with 31s.

I will say the gas mileage is still good in my book.

Drove 130 miles with more than half a tank left last night and another 130 miles back this morning.

I do sometimes wish I had stuck with 32s, had very little issues with clearance on those. 33s required considerably more trimming but I think my wheels had a lot to do with that too.

That's another reason I wanted to stay with the STmaxx because they are 32.8" tires, most other 255s are 33 - 33.5". I'm afraid of how much more trimming that extra 1/4 - 1/2" might require lol.

Total "fat bastard" moment lol

front rear lockers plus regear and having someone else build em so I only have to install them is gunna be about 6k so I'll have a lil while before I save up those funds haha

Gotta fix the rest of the truck before I worry about all that though:spending:

Unless you drive a trail limo....

And it depends on the selected list of trails. But then again 95% of stats can be made to be correct 50% of the time after you get hand pick the trails on the list.

@Wulf is helping spread the desire for 35s while still advocating 33s

    I'm on to you

    1100 per locker x 2

Regear..not sure but its one of those "while you're in there" kind of things so count the labor only once per diff.

    300-400 labor per diff x 2

    Guess I'm missing something?

You're pretty handy and I know you'd uninstall/install your diffs yourself.

Huh you're more right than I am.. 800 of that is core charge so I'd probably get 650 of it back since they take the cost of return shipping out of your core charge refund

I guess I told myself 6k for the possibility of extra costs like gear oil and gaskets and stuff... maybe when I did my estimate I included rebuilding the cv's and rear axle housing at the same time
