I have an Aero Receiver Set sitting. Thinking it might be pistol time after seeing this.

 

It's my new favorite.

I want to build a mini Recce, but I probably will just shoot this one till the barrel and bolt die lol

BCM is a company I’ve been looking at. Most of their stuff seems to be sold out. I’m going to take it real slowly when I start the building process.

The letter does talk about the Sugar Weasel as well and it uses the SBA3 brace. Lop over 13.5 inches may constitute a redesign as a SBR, according to the ATF website.

 

The owner of Shockwave also contacted the ATF and they said he was fine as long as no one used Loctite on the screw that holds it to the tube and the length of pull is under 13.5" (not stated in any rulings, but the ATF has said this is the maximum length of pull for braced pistols). The Shockwave is 13.17 length of pull.

 

There was a lot of talk about this in 2018 I remember but I also don't remember any rulings on that either.

Just when I started entertaining the idea of building a pistol instead of a rifle lol

 

I found this interesting... "The objective design features of the Honey Badger Firearm, configured with the subject stabilizing brace, indicate the firearm is designed and intended to be fired from the shoulder." I was always surprised at the fact that a pistol with a brace that folded or changed LOP was not an SBR

Does ATF want to come after braces?

 

We all have known this was a slippery slope top begin with ....
