    A thing or two...
How much side-to-side movement is there throughout the travel range. Is the ass-end wagging over bumps/dips?

I would say maybe six inches or so. It’s not noticeable. I want to remove the panhard bar so I can build a tube bed and truss the axle.

Sheeeet, and here I'm just trying to figure out how I can manage to remove both sets of leafs and pull out the 4 degree leaf spring shims (post leaf spring settling/to get the DL and steering wheel vibrations mitigated) with only one arm/hand ahead of the weekend!:frusty:

That is definitely going to be a challenge. Is your non usable arm/hand ok?

Long and short, it's ok thanks to anti-inflammatory drugs and 1k of acetaminophen make it technically usable, without them it's pretty bad continuous pain, plus I can't use fingers or thumb. Initial diagnosis was tenosynovitis and reoccurrence of my tenosynovial cyst, this time not just in the back of my left hand (right dominate fortunately).

Doesn't help that it started out a minor aches in the morning back in late May/early June...silly me waited until August to call the ortho...and it took 6 weeks to get in to see him (to be fair he was on vacation for 2 of those weeks).

Damn I’m sorry to hear that. I’m sure the health care system is a bit of a bear these days. I don’t know how your going to remove that shim with one hand, a lift would make things a lot easier.

The ravine with the tree in the way that you and Kyle went up........... I stopped a little past the tree to clear a fallen tree, and when I went to start back up, I slide and wedged my bed against the tree. My tires spun and filled and I was done. Props to Kyle for doing that on all terrains, cuz I couldn’t.

    Trailing arms started

3” lower center line. Using 1.75 x.120 DOM as the lower tube. It will have a strip of 3/16 steel running along the under side to protect the tube. The upper cap is made of 1/4” thick 2x4 tube because it’s stout and the ID is 1.5 and allow clean mounting of the shocks.

    25* bend
    1EE8C95B-2476-44D4-A019-AFA12D97BA48.jpg

    notched for 2” OD bushing.
    6BA96AAC-4983-4BE1-A203-69525A328B33.jpg
Made a cardboard template from the bent DOM, and cut the upper plates out with a 4 1/2” cut off wheel (burned through about 20 of them). Definitely need a plasma cutter.

drilled and tapped the bushing barrels for grease zerks, and tacked them in place.
