Hey guys so I’m kinda stuck right now as to what the problem is with my new 2020 trd pro headlights. So I just got them from Toyota and I bought a wiring harness from the retro fit source(TRS) and today when I went to install them I got the left side all plugged in and went to test and it worked fine. Then I went and put the right headlight on and went to test it only my day time running lights work on both sides. I tried unplugging everything and replugging but that didn’t work. I was thinking I burnt out a fuse when I tested the left side but I went and replaced the fuses and still no luck. I haven’t found any similar problems on here but I thought it was worth a shot. Thanks

I heard that the TRS harnesses have had issues and if you call them they are asking to have them returned and will refund you.

Oh really they didn’t let me know that. I contacted them and they said it was odd but they just said they’ll send me a new one to see if it was just a faulty product. But I found it weird because it was working at first

I had a buddy who bought them and had them returned. He contacted their customer service and they paid to have them returned and refunded his money. He said that Tech support mentioned some were faulty and so they've been taking them back...they told him they weren't going to have good working ones for about three months (he bought and returned them late Aug/early Sept).

They were suppose to pull them from their website but I'm not sure if they did.

So I just tried putting the factory headlight back on and I have the same problem? Just my day time running lights are working but before they were working just fine.

Definitely get Mike's conversion harness. I ran into the same issues with my first harness. Mike is fast and top notch.

I replaced my high/low beams and turn signals, breaks, backup, and tag lights with LEDs - did not use any different wiring harness. They all are bright as hell and work like a charm - though the fast turn flasher might need a relay that will tolerate the lower LED resistance to go back to a reasonable flash rate.

Here are the parts I used:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W1J2BRC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 X 2 --- high and low beam H11

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F9MV3Z8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -- strobe break lights

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072FHNZKW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -- Reverse light

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H6YPB8N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -- Back turn signal lighting

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EEI9LLM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -- Front turn signal

And I swapped out all the interior lights as well - don't recall the package or have links.

I have had no issues other than fast flasher. I have grown used to it - it just makes it look like I am SERIOUS about this turn. I realize it puts more stress on the relay than necessary - but the turn signal rely is not something that runs often. I don't want to cut into factory wire or buy a resistor kit to up the apparent ohms of the turn signal - I dunno if this could cause long term issues but I doubt it. The relay appears to be under the dash in an inaccessible location ( according to the click sound ) - and I have not yet cracked the dash --- but if I find it I will definitely swap out for a relay that is tuned for the lower load of LEDs.

Everyone here is talking about the real OEM LED headlights. Which will out perform any drop in LED bulbs and look good doing it.

Which requires this harness to work.

Ah ok -- NP. I did not realize. Thanks. I did not even know Toyota made OEM LEDs.

You have a part number to order OEM LED’s? I have a 2020 Trd off road I’d like to install them on

You will need a harness, @xrunnerdude67 makes them. His version is the best one, color coded and easy PnP.
Becareful of TRS's harness, a lot of people have reported that their harness are blowing fuses. According to a couple members, it is due to wires being switched around, so if you go that route, you may want to trace the wires as a precaution.

    Thank you!
Any benefit to putting the TRD Pro lights on over the non?

Says "TRD" on the passenger side bottom, and "PRO" on the driver side bottom.

    Here's an example:
