Sorry, sometimes I need it spelled out in crayon.
So does the tune pack make all 3rd gen tunes available, just needs it to be unlocked in order to access?

Also, any idea what the differences between the TS version you provide (019) and the other one mentioned in the zip file/instructions (029 I believe)?
The fact it exists tells me that it's out there and may have some improvements. Haven't had a chance to play around with it of course, but I definitely plan on it.

    No problem.

The TP will only include one ECU ID.

TS V14 will access, flash, and Customize all 3rd Gens. 2016 through 2020.

TS V15 is needed to access, flash, and Customize 2020 T4Rs. Maybe other Toyotas also, but that is the only one that I have heard about.

Sounds like I won't be able to use the old OVTune files on the 2017 then, bummer.

And I see, I did see something that said "?4R," assumed 4Runner but wasn't exactly sure. Comparing the 4runner to the Tacoma, I don't see why it needs a newer version of TS. It lacks so many features compared to the taco.

Yes. You can still flash any P5F file. FM is still available and usable separately.

Yes. The 4Runner. It is just how TS lays out access to new ECU IDs.

It's probably something to do with the massive tech update for the 2020 4R, at least where the gauge cluster and whatnot is concerned. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's my guess

Set all shift values on ETC maps to lowest value for each map. Then when you press ETC Pwr and go to S-mode, you're in Gear Lock. Compliments of @ForceOfG (under credited)

Plus, 2010-19 4R's have had their ECUs cracked/accessed by aftermarket companies for quite some time. 2020 support is still unavailable from OVT and Magnuson and VR, so it makes sense to me that the newer version of TS is also needed.

The only other explanation is that I fucked up when testing on my wife's 2020 (connected with v14 and then v15), but I do not believe that I fucked up.

Did you request the credits in vF Tuner?
(about > license info > bottom left > request credits (press it only 1 time, input the exact amount you purchased))

Thanks, Mat. Yes, requested in vF Tuner and paid on the website (ord #7358). I purchased 4 credits and did press that button more than once. So far no new credits. :)

    Credits are on your account.

Looks like a little issue you requested 4 credits about 10 times lol, all cleared up.

    All good now. Thank you.

For future reference, should the credits be reflected shortly after they're purchased or is a longer wait normal?

Edit: maybe something to do with pushing that button more than once :anonymous:

I'm loving the changes I've done to mine. It's unbelievable. I'm pulling hills in sixth that it never used to. I'd highly recommend changing the airflow tables ovtune recommended as well as dialing in the shift and accelerator tables to your liking. I also have smoothed out the Accelerator- request to airload table

Nope just some basic math. Took the max value of the table (89.976) and divided it by the amount of rows there were (24ish?) which came out to around 3.8ish so I started with 1 and I increased every row by 3.8ish.

Smoothed out the Throttle Request to Airload? Or the other table that’s below it? Can’t remember the exact name

Trying this out I only did the throttle request to air load! Will report Back tomorrow. And set my shift from 5th to 6th back to what 2.0 base was. With 5:29s and 35s the hang in 5th was to long. I am using a performance tune a member put together

Thanks. Yeah in an attempt to replicate that I changed the bottom left value to 1 then did horizontal and vertical smoothing. Numbers came out similar but gradually step instead of all be the same.

My question was really pertaining to the gear 1-6 values for throttle. The values almost match the set throttle angles, with some minimal variability -- is there a science to that?
