I am on a @JustDSM tune now, switched over to HPT a couple months ago now. Mostly because of the misfire and the general consensus was that it was probably the UCON. I just need cold weather now to see if the misfire continues without the UCON. Fingers crossed it doesn't, because I have already done all of the easy stuff to correct it.

I know there are a number in this group that re running water/meth under different setups. I'll get back into the threads, but there is a 1st gen guy that has something like 150k miles running S/C and water/meth. My like of understanding in tuning really hurts me on this stuff....

Finally swapped my gauges from the Gaugepod over to the Lotek Pillar mount. I have had the Lotek sitting in the garage for a couple weeks. So already knowing that fitment was a little off with the 05-11 fitting in my '12 and a couple comments on how tight the gauges fit up, here are my thoughts on this.

Fitment could defiantly be a bit better, some dremmel work made it acceptable but still not perfect. I probably need to open up the top side a little more to allow the hand grab to fit without bending at all.

The Lotek pillar piece is painted plastic, not dyed, so it is susceptible to rub and scratch damage that the OEM piece is not.

After opening up the bottom of the hand grab area so that the bolts would line up, next was testing gauge fitment for best placement. With two different brands of gauge, neither fit perfectly, but the Autometer boost gage deff was better than the AEM. I cut out some more material (got a little too much in the end) to make room for the AEM bezel.

*Couple post edits to correct autocorrect "fixes"

Still a cleaner look (to me) than the gauge pod IMG_6897.jpgIMG_6899.jpg IMG_6900.jpgIMG_6901.jpg IMG_6902.jpgIMG_6903.jpg IMG_6904.jpgIMG_6906.jpg IMG_6908.jpg

    You're in good company!
I'm in a similar situation, doing most of my driving between 6K and 7K ft elevation, where my 2.5" pulley, TRD exhaust, and @JustDSM tune work very well and rarely exceed "stock" boost levels.

Does anyone have any recommendations on replacement o-rings for a URD fuel rail tap? Would any old o-ring do? I feel like I may be overthinking this

Now if a company like HPS would make hoses for us again. They’ve been sold out for god know how long.

DMZ solid motor and trans mounts ftw. Fitment was perfect which is not what you hear about other companies, and the quality is top notch (pairs nicely with the comment about fitment).

I’d compare this mod to 1/2 the improvement that a regear does. The instantaneous feeling of acceleration compared to without solid mounts is remarkable.

Does DMZ only make those for gen 1s?

I think you need to email them. They are not listed on the website. DMZ or the Solid Offroad seem to be the ones most people have been getting. If you get the matched set of DMZ supposed to have a great finish and fit without issues.

Who's got two thumbs up and just ordered a 2.7" smooth flow pulley? Thanks for the suggestion @12TRDTacoma @nudavinci64

I'm just assuming here.. it'll be lighter compared to the URD stealth paperweight.

    Good choice!

    No bimbo pic required, though.
