I also have the iron man lift and have about 1500 miles on it.. I like it so far but only have taken it out on the trail once with @Superhulk LB and it did what I asked it to do.

What tire size/width are you planning to go with?

Depending on how tall/wide you go, there may be some additional trimming or cutting, and or spacers or greater ( - ) wheel offset required to clear UCA. Then regear if you have big tires and added weight.

    This is very true.
With the current set up I have, I’m on 31.50x10.50s. Wheels are a 5.5”backspace and I’m clearing everything with room. I’m going to raise my front suspension up to 2”-2.5” and attempt 275/70/18 or maybe 265/70/18s.

@INSAYN I’m sticking with 265/75/16 wildpeaks. Bought them new last year and can’t see myself spending another chunk on newer tires. I’ll keep these until they need to be replaced. Then think of going bigger.

thanks for the input on here. @Astr0Aar0n, where do you plan on getting it? Local shop or online? No preassembled available from Ironman.

Quite a few things at this point..
I'm honestly thinking of having a shop do it. I'm between Lolo Overland or Automotive Outfitters. Both quoted a very similar prices that were fair. Maybe I'll flip a coin? Hah. I'm thinking shop because I wanna know that if something happens I can just go back to them to fix easier than I could myself. Also, I'm running 265/75r16 as well and plan on sticking to that size fora good long while. My friend just got the stage 2 kit at 3" of lift today and even that still looks good at that tire size. So if I do 2" I'm certain I'll be happy.

Just a heads up... when getting quotes Lolo said they needed the truck for 3 days...
I used AO and they did good work and had it done by EOD

I used automotive outfitters for my suspension lift install. They were great and the price was better then anybody else I had talked to. I recommend using them.

Yeah, I heard the same from Lolo, but that it could take less though. My friend dropped his off yesterday (not sure what time) and it was done in the afternoon today. AO did say same day if I drop it off first thing in the morning. I always do my alignments with AO already and have seen a lot of their work. But I do have total faith in both doing a good job. I lean towards AO also because it's closer hah

    Yea...

Iron man recommends wanderlust in oregon city but they are more expensive and I was trying to save a buck. I also got the clam shell bushing done at AO.... two weeks later I had CV’s done by them.

You think the clamshell bushing is necessary? I've heard from a few people that I don't need to worry if I'm only doing 2"

Probably not a requirement. I just had them do it since they were in there and it was a piece of mind purchase

I didn’t do the ECG bushing and so far all good. Seems like a 50/50 chance on that. I used Lolo Overland and they have been good to work with. I went in last week and was able to ask a lot of questions and the owner was super helpful. They are just a few miles from me though, so that was an added bonus.

    @Superhulk LB
Does Lolo do alignments as well? They’re right down the street from me and they’re installing my brothers rack on his tundra soon. He says good things.

@Astr0Aar0n I want a shop install for the same reasons. Peace of mind, but want to do it myself so that accomplished feeling. Lol.

I’ll probably hold off on bushings since it doesn’t sound like it doesn’t affect all trucks. What about diff drop? Are people doing those with the 2” lift? And is there anything else I’m missing. before I call around, I’d like to make sure I’m getting quotes on the same service.

    No bushings
    Diff drop?

I know for sure you don't need to do diff drop at 2" of lift. I think it's that if you're going over 3" you need to do the diff drop. Not positive though on that part.

An alignment was part of the install. They outsource to Gresham Ford. There is a 4x4 guy there with a Taco. They also have a really high end alignment machine.
