Here's mine. Just picked it up this week. At first I didn't like it, but it is starting to grow on me. I may get it painted. It kinda looks like a softopper. Cap Pic.jpg

This looks really really cool! I'm eyeing a Silver topper for my MGM Access cab and might actually make throw the money down this weekend based on this!

Thanks! This is the first cap I have ever put on a truck I have owned. I am still on the fence about the color and the cap, but its cool to be able to store stuff out of the elements and be able to lock it.

    Stock for now.. maybe
I have a magnetic grey access cab and intentionally went with a midnight black metallic shell. I dont have a pic right now but there are some throughout this thread. Looks great and its nice to be a bit different. The color match is to much for me (plain)

Is it a mismatch if it was planned this way?IMG_20200721_1803472.jpg

I'd say its a perfect mismatch.. I did the same on purpose!
Looks good, is it black or dark blue? Hard to tell in the pic

    Looks great either way

I find color matched camper shells a bit overwhelming.
    always preferred the contrast

Lookks good. I feel the same (overwhelming part). My dad might be in the market for a new leer shell so I talked to him about a few non color matched options.

What color is yours? Kinda of hard to tell sometimes in pictures. White truck blue shell?

    I like it either way!

    Great thread!

Ive been thinking about “Raptor Lining” mine just like how @Clavin has done. But for the time being, I’m still mismatched.

    Here is my contribution:

how receptive was he with the options you presented? What color you pushing for?
    currently the shell is black.
The second pic was an mgm shell.

Do it.. you won’t regret it.
I picked up a used raptor lined ARE MX (3rd shot down) like yours and the added texture really does give it a bit more rugged look.

He is receptive for sure especially since mycurrent truck looks good.. sorry no picture right now but they are both on the first page.
Current is magnetic grey truck midnight black shell. And my 95 tacoma (still have) is shitty red with crappy blue... looks fine for a 1995 and the shell was made for some other truck and doesn't even leak! Bought it for 30 bucks!

There are so many options while ordering a new shell because it doesn't have to be a color code for the same generation truck or even maker. Options are almost limitless.

He doesn't do flashy. He just got an older white tundra. Thinking some kind of light grey or cement. Something light colored especially since he is in northern Alabama (hot in the summer)

You have trifecta for sure! I like all of them . I like the idea of a soft top but doesn't work for me.
Guessing you are pulling out the Ford

Moab is awesome, I've never taken my truck off-road there but have done some hiking and bikiking, camping and enjoying the scenery.
Hope you stay with the mismatched shell!
    Looks great

Moab was great. I'm headed back out to do some snow camping on Mount Elbert this Feb/Mar.
The only way I'll change it is I Monstaline the entire truck in Midnight Special, but that's not a high priority right now. I need to finish my camp trailer before I start back on the truck
