Official 2020 NCAA Football Thread

Bama and Georgia play each other in the regular season and probably again in the SEC champ, so for both to make the playoffs they would have to split the two games. Since Georgia seems incapable of beating Bama it gives them two loses and out of the playoffs. If Bama does beat them twice in one year how demoralizing will that be and what affect on recruiting.

 

you will never get an sec fan to understand this, much less an uga fan. They have been riding on the sec brand since the 80’s

Texas has been winning games they shouldn't, and losing games they should win.


Been more losing games they should win, than winning games they shouldn't.




UF has improved greatly since Mullen got there. Much different identity as a team.

UGA has improved since Kirby got there, just not to the point of winning it all.


Texas, hasnt done shiiiiiiiiit except say "Texas is Back!" between 3 and 10 times, but has yet to actually come anywhere close to "back".




When there are only two good teams in your conference, Texas and Oklahoma, and the rest focus on basketball, you should probably win your conference 50% of the time or better.

 

Man, I love cherry picking stats too. My conference seasons only count when more than 2-3 teams are good, but yours only count when 1-2 are good.

Never mind the good seasons TCU, Baylor, OSU, or WVU have had. SEC is best because parity, but it’s more of a parody. Auburn was tops until this embarrassment, but it’s just SEC football, right? UGA will be good until UF curb stomps them, but again, SEC football!

Good thing LSU beat Vandy. Y’all can hang your hat on that great conference victory!

Also, posting about the great improvements of the SEC East.. lol. Tennessee has been bad for a long time, UF has lost any meaningful game, and then there’s Georgia who wins the shit show. Let’s relax and stop pretending the SEC East isn’t the red carpet for the West to the playoffs. And tuck it under your pillow how you like, but UGA lost to Texas last time UGA was supposed to be national title good.

Auburn wasn't tops...lol. Auburn hasnt been "tops" for a long time. Auburn wins just enough games and plays Alabama just hard enough to fuck up a good season, lol.

The Big12 hasnt won a natty in 14 (it will be 15 soon) years.

The best the BIG12 has been able to do is be on the bubble and get in the playoff, then lose.

The SEC has dominated the natty with 4 university football teams in the last 20 years. Florida, LSU, Alabama and Auburn.

For 4 years in a row, the natty didnt even leave the state of Alabama.

All the experts and coaches in NCAA football will tell you that the SEC is different. I suppose they are all wrong, and some fella on a truck forum who likes West Virginia is right.

Off the top of my head, 3 game stretch for my Dawgs in ‘02, ‘04 (maybe 05?) and ‘07. Now in the midst of a 5 or 6 game losing streak.

 

Here's the problem.



Pick up a book. Start with books that have LOTS of pictures. Then slowly work your way up to chapter books! You can do it buddy. We believe in you.

We all know CFB is cyclical. The SEC has simply played for and won more nattys than any other conference for the last 15-20 years. Not by my choice. Not by the fans of SEC teams' choice.

The SEC faired way better than the B12 last year in bowl season, which everyone likes to point out when the SEC doesnt do well, as an indication that the SEC is "overrated", but when they go 8-2, and win a natty, all of a sudden we are all "biased".

Which way do you want it to be, because it cant be both ways.
