I mean it’s not a bad group of people. But I wouldn’t call them enthusiasts or the type of people I want to hang with. Mainly a bunch of people with stock stuff and spacer lifts.

 

Facebook is of the devil.

 

Haven’t met that part of the group yet but there’s quite a few members, have met or talked to em all..

I was one of the originals in this group. First meet we had there were 3 or 4 people. Myself, Kevin, Tyler, and another. Tyler and Kevin founded the group. Tyler went on to never be seen or heard from again. I was an admin for some time until recently. New leadership decided I was not worthy anymore, I guess since I sold my Tacoma. I was still active dropping knowledge and insight when I could, and moderating the BS as it arose. I left that group several months ago. Best of luck them them and their hotdog roasts. Made several friends through the group, worked on several trucks, etc.

 

@ovrlndkull That's the one I got kicked out of. The guy that runs it now (Brandon?) got SUPER butthurt about a minor comment I made, like to the point of tears if I had to guess based on the messages he sent me. I apologized but he just couldn't get over it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Yes, current leadership is suspect, at best.

I lurk and keep distance in there. Mostly for buy/sell shit. Jeep groups burned me pretty good. Facebook IMO has pussified this generation. Take a joke, don’t be serious, calm down, and enjoy life

Pretty new to the whole world of Trucks, but TW is plenty enough. I've learned more in the last 8 months just lurking these forums than I think I could have anywhere else. I don't need multiple groups.

 

So they had a meet at a brewery and the brandon guy posted a picture about how much he loves his "family" (it was a weird and specific comment but I don't remember the details). I just commented something something like "haha, so tipping a craft beer back with a couple people who drive the same brand of truck makes you "family" now". And that above was his reaction, deleted the comment and PM'ed me. I don't want to psychoanalyze the kid over the internet, but it seems like he is young, and legit doesn't have anything else going on in his life besides this FB group he is an Admin over. He had previously posted something about how proud he was to be an Admin of the group when they hit 1K members etc. Anyway, I wasn't trying to be mean at all but I guess he is a just soft target.

 

Maybe @BlueTacoma3G will tell on us.
