Agreed. If you're maintaining responsible control of your firearm, 9 times out of 10 you'll be fine.

@ROAD DOG do you happen to have a source for any of those statistics? How wide of an area that covers? The chief of police for where?

Essentially the notch in the steel locks the holster in place and can be left in the truck, or removed. I leave mine in the truck and have a secondary one for my person.

Oh boy. Brother, I'm sure you have your reasons but please reconsider leaving a pistol unattended in a vehicle. That's bad news bears because it increases your likelihood of victimization, baits criminals who may be scoping out parked cars, and may unintentionally provide a firearm to prohibited persons...

agreed on the difference in laws

its all but to know + understand them all

citizens are at the mercy of lawyers & the courts as there are 2 sides

    + interpretations

i carry all the time until i cant

so many near public venues discourage Concealed Carry

Ohhhh gotcha, my bad. It's late. I thought you left a gun in the truck and a gun on your hip. Guns hidden in the potted plants, shotty in the umbrella holder, just gats everywhere I guess haha

I know it's not what OP is looking for, specifically saying no center console. I didn't want to mount my gun somewhere that is visible from the outside. I also didn't want to mount it in the leg compartment because that's just asking for my leg to knock it around. I also wanted to mount it somewhere where it wouldn't bounce around off road.

The center console is the location i chose. I test mounted it throughout the center console and chose the most natural location. From beep to trigger pull on target is .08-.15 seconds slower than drawing from my appendix holster standing.

i dont know him personally..............hope not to get to know the chief

    U call it into ??????????

yet not motivated to substantiate the FACTS

the total from homes & vehicles approaching 400

its a dilemma most police are familiar with

    top shelf closet

felons are at least as smart as the citizenry!!!!!!

thats 400 guns that will end up in the hands o FELONS !!!!!

true it serve no citizen to have a gun in a vault ALL the TIME

yet if U will kindly read the NEW LAW just passed ( which i hope WILL BE CHALLENGED & WONT STAND )

proffered after the shhotout VA BEACH at govt offices

there are DOZENS o venues Licensed CN NOT CARRY !!!!

Are these venues asking to be able to ban carrying? Or are they precluded just because they are certain categories of places? Because if it's the former, I can understand a private business' right to refuse service or not want firearms inside.

I agree, guns should be secured the majority of the time. Unfortunately, when laws get passed that would require firearms to be stored in a secure area, or inaccessibke to felons and children, or seeks to add penalties for those who don't follow these basic precautions, organizations like the NRA attack it as a restriction of the 2nd amendment.

Unfortunate as it may be, I see these new laws as being enacted to protect government employees from others. Specifically, you can probably thanks folks like these right here: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...ome-vote-armed-bulletproof-vest-a9493306.html
