we actually had just started dating, so I'm not sure why she didn't immediately dump me, but whatever...it was half joke, half serious.

Switching gears, anyone ever run their own Natural Gas lines? Wife has her heart set on this firepit for the new house and it can be ordered for Natty Gas or Propane. If we get propane I have to swap tanks out all the time and have a tank sitting on the porch, Natural Gas would be cheaper in the long run and much less hassle but I'd have to run about 100' of gas line.....

Natural Gas is so much cheaper than propane btw...we had been using propane to heat our house the last three years, until I replaced the furnace with a heat pump back in July...Even when propane is $2/gal we still used 800+ gal from Oct-April each year...crazy expensive.

I just filled the tank, got it at $1.399/gal, but that's still a hefty price when the tank is 500 gal empty (400 useable). I think we put in 350 gal this time around...

The CSST is what I planned to use. There is gas as far as the pool heater on the right side of the photo, line would need to run across and then up to the deck to the second circle. So less than 100', looks like the CSST comes in 75' lengths from Lowes.

Yeah I think its roughly half the cost, and I wouldn't have to change tanks or have a tank on the deck.

Jeez! We want to put in a 500 gallon tank. Next we need to get the old well tested. I don’t know how many years ago it was the previous owners turned it off and hooked up to city water.

Guy I did a big deck/sun room for asked if I would do his gas lines my answer was a big NEWP. I'll connect the flex line to the service line and the appliance but other than that I stay clear of that kind of thing.

So you connected the lines but you didn't want to run them? I feel like running the line will be the easy part, but I may have questions for you when I go to connect things.
