Decided to make the intake myself cause I'm too cheap to spring for shit I can build myself. Plus I already had the chrome 6+HP filter.
Started with a couple washers and an idea.

    filter end.

    carb end.

booger welds, take full credit for them.

bell on the end to hold the filter.

Just needs a thingy to keep the choke lever from going bye bye and some paint.
But first some beers, I'll finish tomorrow.

I just saved $39.00 plus S&H doing that myself. and it's way cooler.:burp:

I dig the color choice. The rest of my truck is not really my taste but I appreciate all the work that goes into making one that clean :D

There are a few questionable things on it. The headlights have rigid lights that aren’t adjustable and don’t aim right. The rear doors don’t lay flush to the rest of the truck. The person that initially did the truck didn’t do a very good job. My friend fixed a lot of the issues but still a few things. But it’s done pretty well besides a few things. Paint is nice on it.

The new intake made a drastic difference, runs like shit.
pretty sure it's just too lean now. So I've narrowed down my parts list to a set of heavier valve springs, which it needs regardless of everything else due to the governor delete (valve float is bad at higher rpm's). And a new jet, to make it run a bit richer. Which was recommended as a "must install" with the new "over the counter" performance intake kit. The intake flow has been increased by about 5/16" in the tube area, and the higher flow filter as well. So it's sucking a lot more air.
Stock air box is back on for current shenanigans.

You got both the intake and exhaust sticking way out there.... why not bring them together with a turbo?
The world needs more unity :D

Does anyone know a process to connect with a scrap yard? Maybe I can reach out to them and see if there are any tacos in there.

I am looking for one of these, I believe it is only equipped in trucks without JBL package.

Tacoma's are rare in Junk Yards, the following 2 specialize in Toyota's.
