They think it's just a software programming error - like the airstrip was assigned a negative elevation instead of a positive one.
Just thought y'all might find it interesting if you had the new software.

Was a good day of flying. The supercub felt really stable and heavier than the Legend Cub I'd been flying. Tomorrow I'll work on crosswinds thanks to Delta.

Everyone in my program loved the J3 we had because of it's "history" and I was the hater that didn't even like to taxi the thing haha.

I have the majority of my hours in the Citabria, and it is by far my favorite, but I've also gotten to fly the Ximango motor glider, Sundowner, 150, a couple of 172s and just got to taxi the J3 haha.

I love that bare metal! (because I don't have to polish it).

Anyway, should have my PPL by November/December and my CPL by next year. Then who knows. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Our club/school just bought a citabria for aerobatic training. I'll eventually get in it, but first I have to get the seaplane rating for the Husky amphibs.
Sometimes I wonder why I'm poor, then I look at my logbook.

I'm sure you have exponentially more hours than I do!

I feel incredibly privileged to be getting most of my training in the Citabria! I don't have to worry about figuring out tailwheel endorsement later and man does it make the Cessnas easy to land when you've done it in the Citabria since day one haha. Most of all it's just more light and fun to fly. I'll take a stick over a yolk, personally, and it just feels so effortless and natural to control. IF ONLY I COULD AFFORD ONE OF MY OWN :D

I'm a very low time pilot, but have access to a lot of planes. The club/school has four 182s, six 172s, two 152s, two Huskies, one PA-18, one PA-11, one J3, two Cirrus SR22s. We used to have a turbine 206, but it got totaled last month. They've asked club members what 6 place plane we want to replace it. I think I'm the only one who voted for a DHC-2.

Well happy skies! Hope to see you out there someday. Perhaps when I'm done with flight school and find that few hundred thousand I stashed away for planes...

I keep checking for one for sale thinking I’ll magically find one for half price or less haha

Cheapest part of plane ownership is the purchase

Im aware! Which is why I’m not sure I’ll ever make the plunge. Depends where this all leads and if I get my A&P when I’m done with my CPL or not...

    What planes do y’all own?

I’d love to hear some practical upkeep cost discussion and/or practical small aircraft jobs discussion to guide us new guys for the future.

Hehe, none. When I was training the sign on the wall said "Learn from others mistakes, you wont live long enough to make them all yourself"

My brother bought a PA-28, I saw the trends...he kept it for 15 or so yrs, then swapped it for a twin engine.

    Hes richer than me lol

Heck yeah!! You're singing my tune. I could like on this post all day.

Seasons winding down here. Probably be out of the water within the next two weeks.

I’ve never flown the citabria but I’ve been really digging it’s big brother lately, the scout. Hopefully it’ll be my next bird.
