SPC Upper Control Arms?

    Getting these installed next week can’t wait. Any advice on alignment specs for 32” tires? I’m on Bilsteins 2” front lift. Can’t wait to get better alignment.

    D or E and target stock caster. Make sure they know they can move the upper ball joint in and out to adjust camber.

    why target stock caster? the whole reason i have them is for higher caster. guess it depends on how the driver uses his truck. but he said "better alignment" whatever he means..

    AFAIK, tire diameter doesn’t affect alignment. I’m not sure what problem you are trying to solve. People normally get aftermarket UCAs as part of a lift.

    what do you want to improve exactly with a better alignment? something with driveability? something with fitment? 32's shouldn't be a rubbing problem unless you have big offset or something.

    Because with SPC's in those settings at the UCA he will have plenty of clearance at the back side of the tire if they move the LCA to stock caster numbers. There's no reason to do more. These trucks drive great with stock caster. People get out of whack with positive caster because they don't know what they're talking about.

    I have more positive camber than I want hoping to fix along with wondering on freeway

    ummm, no. you don't have experience driving a setup Tacoma with higher caster numbers, at least not at highway+ speeds. that's armchair talking. sorry. driveability & handling can change massively with a properly setup high caster alignment in a balanced package. on these trucks.

    Rubbing is no worry. Camber and wondering on freeway. My camber numbers .5 and caster was 1.6 I believe on stock arms. Like I said not a tech but want to do it right. Thanks

    Alright... I've had stock, +2, +3, and +4 with my SPC's. I'm back at +2 and it drives fine, just like it did at +3 and +4. On stock tires, 265/75R16, and now I'm on 285/75R17. And regardless, he's asking about alignment for basically a stock tire.

    i ran E range 30's for 3 years, caster numbers from 6.1 down to 5.5, down to 5.0, and currently at 4.6, because I've been reinforcing my stuff in stages and that affects how it can be properly aligned. in 10 days it's going back and we're working to add back 2/10's for 4.8 if we can swing it. can't speak for his tires, but E range 30's will exaggerate the shit out of your alignment because they are hard and uncompliant AF. that can be horrible or awesome depending on how you drive and what you want from your truck.

    Have you taken your truck to a shop to get an alignment done? I would start with that before spending $$$ on aftermarket UCAs. Most people report no problems with stock UCAs. They are typically only installed as part of a suspension lift.

    FYI: I have SPC UCAs, but I installed them as part of a 2” lift with extended travel King shocks and 33” tires. They are required for my setup or otherwise I would have saved myself some serious $$$.

    Perfect. You'll be set if you follow what I recommended above. If you go bigger or to a different offset wheel there are some other tricks you can do with these SPC's to keep from rubbing.
