If I'm buying a whole new set of rims, I probably won't be getting the same thing. I do like the new SR5 rims though.

Did front and rear bumpers finally. I went with Body Armor and I'm really pleased with them. The fit was perfect and they look great. The quality of welding and cutting is excellent to my eye. I didn't put a light bar on the front as I wanted to be able to access the winch manually if needed. Wired the rear cubes in to the back up lights. KIMG0074.jpg KIMG0075.jpg

I'm still basically stunned at how flimsy and cheap the stock "bumpers" are. It almost makes you mad.

Put sunscreen on my leg and I assume it brushed up against this spot and ate at the paint. Might just re-paint it or get a replacement deciding factor will be when I see the prices lol.

Pretty much all cars are built that way to crumble like an accordion in an accident, and soft bumpers to help lessen injury if u hit a pedestrian

Seems like a flimsy and cheap bumper would cause a pedestrian to fly thru the windshield. I'd rather he go under the truck. :angrygirl:

Ordered some falken wildpeaks because I was sick of the highway toyos that came from the dealer. Can't wait to get them on.

Installed a bed basket today, its half width of the bed (23in X 64in), so I have the other side for my fishing rods. I do still need to put the "wind deflector" on, I wasnt going to at first, but that open area in the back is just too big.

In the winter time this will be perfect for hauling the kids sleds.

I wish I had found an ECU cover like that. I had to use sticky's on my steering wheel and one right over the ECU Connector that said rather firmly to NEVER DO THE BRAKE OVERRIDE FLASH. The sticky's worked though, they never flashed it and I had brakes and power at the same time for 12 years in my Model 2008.

That is because they are not bumpers. They are called fascia. Actual bumpers rarely exist on vehicles anymore.

@EastHillBob gave credit to someone else for this, but he brought up the idea in this thread to use a mouse pad wrist rest in this area. While adding much comfort, it might help with this issue:

With the windshields these days, we need cow catchers, not bumpers.

The only thing I’d call out is if you want more door ding protection get the zero degree or look at another brand. I like them because they tuck up close to the truck and I don’t hit them when getting in and out but they are not going to offer much protection for door dings in a parking lot. 07B80D9E-A593-49C3-82AE-20ACDFC5B732.jpg
