ya i dont like putting that much heat into the frame to remove that. plasma cut it off grind it down and be done with it.

 

What's to heat up? You take an angle grinder to the edges and a flap wheel to smooth it off. Some POR-15 and your done.

Well, here is one local that is less than 35K so I think it's a fair offer. Aftermarket mods don't ad value. One could argue that they actually subtract value and they certainly narrow your buyer pool.

@TheTurk I should ad that I have zero interest in any 3rd gen, this is all just playing Devil's advocate.

 

That's right off of the same source of the value. If you shop at dealerships or even FB marketplace I have seen these trucks being sold for 40k+ with high miles. Even the newer models are being marked up from MSRP to 50k due to demand. Not sure about the new models selling but I believe this truck can sell anywhere in the ballpark of the 40 range

all these people complaining about the truck being priced high... "mods dont add value". blah blah blah. someone will pay the premium. there's a market for everything, including tricked out trucks that are priced above KBB. I sold my 2017 Taco that was blinged out for $48k. Literally made more than I paid for the truck and the mods.
