Put a voltmeter on the starter terminal to measure voltage while cranking. If the meter leads are long enough, you can put the meter face-down on the windshield and do it without a helper.

If the battery is OK, take it to a dealer for diag if you're under 60,000 km.

Make sure to take lots of pics and video along Concession. I've heard it can have a few challenging spots even for modified trucks.

@Snail81 and I plan to run the Old Logging Trail and Picard Lake Trail on Sunday. Based on the OF4WD descriptions, these are stock friendly.

Meet up at Bobcaygeon Esso gas station at 10 am: https://goo.gl/maps/vAAFm62G9Ywp8Kkk7

Trail head is 15 minutes away.

Stutter as in hard start. after swapping the ground clamp - it stopped doing it, or at least it's not notable. I'll see tomorrow if i can get a video of it

Actually yes, we found the plate. A fellow from the BoC that @ODSC1 runs has it currently and i've not been able to head out to meet up in a fun run as of like 3 months ago to go grab it....

    nothing like that

it's like the starter tries to crank over, stops for a second or two, then somehow wakes up and turns the engine over

We need the video! Could be fuel injectors, fuel system or cranck position sensor :D there are so many things to fail on those engines :annoyed:
