RCLT is interesting but I hear terrible things about Marlin now. My buddy's grandfather just finished restoring an 81 pickup and didn't have issues with them. But of course that's just one experience.

    4 run, 2 don't
After Moab, I plan on hitting Hollister Hills once a week.

That'll really help me figure out anything else I may need.

Their main problem, as I see it, is that they originally didn't cater to the new vehicles when they started coming out. Which is why they have virtually nothing for the 1st gen Tacoma. Marlin, the man, didn't want to fuck with IFS. Wasn't until Big Mike started running things that they took an interest in IFS and started making things for it. Still neglecting the 1st gen but slowly getting better.

Then there is the issue of how slow they are with production. The RCLT has been in the works for almost 2 years that I know of and still nothing is available. And they won't have enough product available for the demand when it comes around. So it's going to leave a lot of people unhappy and say fuck it and go with SAS.

They need to step up production shit big time.

offroad i'd prefer the supercharger unless your running a stand alone ECU and can minimize the turbo lag

Fuck. Guy on the AZ 4Runner group on FB just posted up about 5 Catahoula puppies he needs to find homes for. Not sure I'm ready for it and Moab is next week. Hopefully he finds them homes before I get back.

Have you seen Wheel Every Weekend Ian guy say that most supercharger 5VZ setups barely make like 10-15 extra horsepower? Dude seems to know his stuff but that directly contradicts this forum supercharger thread.

They supposedly only made 40 ho extra when new bolted on not old miled out motors, than immagine if you still have an auto

It all depends on the shape of the sc as well if the teflon seals are sealing boost on one side or not

But turbos are much better than the overpriced undersized sc option

There's a dude on 4 runner.org that rear mounted the cheapest turbo on ebay, his account is it builds power off idle as it's a smaller turbo thus doesn't lag

ehh... maybe 10-15 over stock crank numbers when measured at the wheel... but its like 40hp gain without the fuel mods..

i mean weve had blown 3.4s come into work. hell one was traded in, you can definitely feel the difference. off the line torque was amazing. not 4.7l amazing. but way better than a stock 3.4
