Great forum. I don't post a lot but love seeing all the recommendations. My son has a stock 2005 Tacoma 4x4. He wants to put 3" spacer's in the front and 1" block in the rear. Does anyone have a photo of theirs done with this combination. I know there are better alternatives but this will be driven to school and not driven hard.

I'm a "gotta see a picture of it" before I do it.

    Thank you,
    Greg

Wow he wants a Bro lean. Don't do it dad. You will need to adjust the headlights if you do. Anyway I have the 3" spacer lift up front but I put AAL in the back for 3" and 3" and before I get beat up about my spacers I don't do much offroad other that hunting.

3 in the front 1 in the rear would give you a funky squat IMHO

one inch spacer in the front and a one inch spacer in the rear with some meaty tires would prob be your best bet for a budget boost

Thank you. 285/65/18 with a -12 offset. Just don't hit any mud with the windows down. :)

Not my really my style but that’s just personal opinion and not relevant but for some reason this looks particularly bad on a Tacoma to me. It just looks broken or something.

3" spacers in the front and instead of blocks I installed a pair of Add A Leaf springs to bring the back up 3" as well. Three inch lift front and back. Keeping it level.

2 inches higher in the front than the rear. Love the look, my mom is going for the Cali lean on her Tacoma too soon, Haha!

A kid driving a lifted truck won't be driven hard. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Sorry, I just don't see that happening. I do hope you're right though.

That is funny! I guess I meant it won't be driven off road frequently. We hunt and fish but it's rare that we have to push it hard to get where we're going. You're right though...I can't assume!

Your best bet, as others have said, would be to use a add-a-leaf in the rear. Blocks will cause the stock leafs to fail over time resulting in the costs to replace. @HeadStrong Off-Road is a great site to source your parts.

I remember my teens.... I'll bet you do to.
... At least once... Just because. Lol
I hope you 2 enjoy the truck. I loooove mine.
Might I suggest finding some front and rear springs in the 3rd gen marketplace. The front coils will give an inch alone. The rear leaf springs, although nothing to write home about have way less miles than yours do and putting an add a leaf on that I think would work pretty well. Reducing the spacer needed for the desired lift height.
I hope you two enjoy the truck to its fullest.
